I don't hate RJL but if I'm in a mood for romance drama, maybe wont pick one that he's in. LOL
I've watched 2.5 of the drama that he was in, Under the Power, One and Only and Blue Whisper (dropped halfway). I can only comment base on the 2 dramas that I completed. Under The Power, which I really enjoyed and One and Only, this both drama are not straight out romance drama.
Under The Power, is more on solving crimes and for One and Only, there's more angst than romance. They didn't even have the chance to develop anything romantic. I guess all these will happen in Forever and Ever, but I dropped it because it's getting boring for me. Please dont bash, I don't hate him, it's just so happened that he chose to play a very similar character in these dramas. Righteous, dull and serious type of man, which is totally NOT my type. I don't care about kiss or no kiss. If I want to see some hot kisses, I definitely won't be watching Asian dramas. lol
For those RJL fan, please recommend me some other drama that he played a different character. Maybe a more fun one, or darker. Or ruthless. Or a misunderstood type of character. Bad boy maybe? Thank you. :D

I think he is not bad or scum enough for much character development. He is already awesome from episode 1.

Thanks for the recommendation. I am watching Destined now and the ML hates FL, and FL very much hates the type of man he is. But he is not ruthless or abusive. I like this kinda love hate trope a lot. 😂

The first half was very interesting for me because I like to see that the FL was just a normal nobody who seems unimportant to a lot of people. But she is still so cheerful and march on. I really love her character. And I also love to see how she helped TY search for his body parts, unwillingly. And how they gradually fall in love.

Same genre, Xianxia. But other than that, everything else is very different.

Good job Riley. Sorry that I had to skip all his scene in Love is Sweet but I enjoyed and watch every time he was here. XD

I know some of you finds him annoying in the middle of the drama because of him pursuing the FL and obstructing the CP. But every scene of them together are hilarious! He was so fun to watch.
He has a dark past, forced to work for the phantom dude, his own mother and his clan people never care for him, and yet he was so happy and dandy. And when he met someone like YH, naturally he will develop some sort of affection towards her. Those are infatuation. Infatuation are as strong as the feeling of love, but it comes and goes quickly.
But yes, he is a very annoying character but a very fun one to watch. I never have any SML syndrome, I usually root for the main CP but he is definitely one of my favourite SML.

Let's talk about the SML Bai Xiao Sheng. I personally think it's a very well written character.

ohno, If you dont enjoy the first half of the drama, then probably you won’t like the second half. The first half of the drama was the best for me.
