I cant stand the cuteness too…

Discovering this drama is a nice surprise. I’d always love watching bad boys and now with a bad girl, perfection!! More idol drama should be like this. I am done watching weak cutesy FL.

I’m not writing a review. I like this drama but the last 10 episodes bored the hell out of me. Perhaps like some of the people here, this is one drama that I love/ hate.

I like the emperor too, surprisingly he is the comic relief for this drama, but like how AvenueX (youtuber) pointed out, he is a bit too comical for a founding emperor. Ohmy, Thank goodness they reduced the Yuen Shen storyline.

Just finished this over-rated and long drama. TBH, I have no problem with long drama, I'd been through 60-70 episodes dramas and if I like it I can rewatch them. But ohboy, the second phase of this drama is soooo boring. Gosh, I’ve never fast forward a drama so much. I was like, argghhh just be together already so that this drama can end and I can move on to another drama. Towards the end, during the second arc of their relationship, I have lost all the excitement with this couple. I enjoyed slowburn drama like Story of Minglan, that was 73 episodes and never once I had to fast forward.
Oh, btw, I have no problem with the FL's mom which a lot of you hated. She is never the villain. She is just a typical Asian mom. LOL

I have always love reading your review because I tend to agree a lot to your views. But I enjoyed Part 1 more because there is more exciting in their relationship. For Part 2, in second arc of their relationship is...just...so...boring. ML was overly apologetic and FL being too moopy. Seeing them like this I felt like all the joy just left my soul and I was fast forwarding so much so that they can get together already. Now I am done, and I can move on.

It burns even slower towards the ending. So slow that my fire for this couple was all burnt out.

Dream of Splendor is a very nice drama too, also very smart and strong female lead. The story is more mature too. Which I prefer more to this.

I try to avoid drama with Angelababy. But I want to see Chen Kun. otoke 😵‍💫

I am only able to finish watching this ohsoboring drama thanks to the secondary couple. Shipping so hard for Wu Bai Qi and Fu Xuan.

Its always disappointing when it comes to high budgeted dramas with big FL name. I actually did finished this drama, and I got passed the fact that ZZY was too old for this role. But I just couldn’t stand that every man has to fall in love with her character. That was very annoying. ?

you're not the only 1. I couldn't get pass episode 3 and now is my third time watching. The bromance between grim reaper and Goblin is great. The ML and FL pairing is a bit odd. I know Goblin is few hundreds years old but looking at them gives me the papa and daughter feeling. Lol....hope second lead pairing feels better, at least.

Actually the age thing gets to me a bit. But it’s not the first time they do this when they cast big female lead. They were pushing it with Zhou Xun in Ruyi too. Agree with some who said ZZY face is too sultry to play youthful character. But I guess the youth phase wont be that long.

All of you who are disappointed with this drama, Hello, have you been following any TVB dramas in the recent years? They are all so bad I can cry. But I still watch them because I love listening to Cantonese.

Can I ask you personally when there are the things I dont understand in this drama? Yes, I actually do like all the characters here, even the side characters. Thank you. :)

I always thought that JinYiWei was to do things personally for the King, anything that will cause threat or harm to the King.
Now I am at the village with zombies, from stolen funds to zombified villagers, I don't know if I follow the story anymore. lol...

What is wrong with the music in this drama? It was muted everytime OTP has sweet moments. OMG. it's so frustrating. T_T
