I guess Tofu was there just to heal their wounds. 🥲Oh, the glasses. Normally I love glasses. But BL tends to…
Yeah I guess so, but I really wanted them to end up together. But anyway, I still loved the drama.
Yeah I agree. They could have given Gen better frames. I wear prescription glasses myself and I take some time to decide what suits me and not. They literally gave him the worst glasses frame I ever seen and did not suit him at all.
In the beginning the story was a bit confusing, but as the story went along it got better. I loved the acting and the chemistry of the couple. Plus, I'm glad they got to reunite in the real world ^_^
Finished! I enjoyed watching this drama. It's not the best ever, but it's not bad.
Yes, it had many cliche moments, draggy scenes, the script was questionable, some scenes were questionable and how some characters acted were not good (like Anda's brother was too much, like brother complex to stalker).
But, on the whole it was not bad. It was light, cute, fluffy, and enjoyable. Like you have to take this drama as it is and not too seriously. I also liked the cast, characters, couples, kiss scenes and the story.
For the ending, I loved it though Like honesty was the best thing for Anda and Ryou and they were accepted ^_^
The story had some dark, sad, and painful moments, but it had comedy and hilarious moments. For the story it is quite straightforward, and you can guess what will happen most of the time. It may not have the greatest twists, but I enjoyed the story, nonetheless.
I mostly loved the Gyesoo Village clinic family. Literally none of them are related to each other by blood, but they are the most beautiful family I have ever seen. I loved how they protected each other at all costs, are loyal to each other, smile, laugh, cry, fight, worry about each other and feel pain together. Literally what a family is. They are all quirky, but they all fit and are perfect together. I really loved them all <3
I know that there is a second season planned, but I loved how they concluded this season's story. I thought they would leave it as a cliffhanger and the villain would not be caught. But they caught the villains and everyone found out that the late king was poisoned and Physician Yoo's father was murdered as well. So that chapter is closed.
Yes, episode 12 ends by Seo Eun Woo and Physician Yoo getting separated once again and we kind of assume that it will be continued, but it gives you leeway not to watch the 2nd season or more exactly I am not dying of that much curiosity.
Honestly, I don't know what is going to happen in the second season if they will make it, but I mostly look forward to seeing Gyesoo Village clinic family and maybe Physician Yoo gets to propose to Seo Eun Woo.
Finished! I ended up watching this drama because of the bad reviews and so I got curious and watched this drama. Honestly, it's not the worst I have seen.
Yes, the script was at times bad, and some scenes got too long and draggy. Also, it had lots of dramatic moments (and the first place goes to Daonuea, he is a drama queen!). Some of the characters had a WTH mentality (like Nine, I could not understand why he did not leave Praew before he decided to go to the Production House to pursuit Daonuea + take his friend's Tee love interest / lover!).
Moreover, the editing and how some of the episodes were presented were not good. Like the 1st episode, I literally did not know what was happening exactly. I kind of got on track in the 2nd episode. I don't know if it's me that was slow, or I don't know.
Even the flashback moments were not presented properly. Then as the drama went along I kind of got used to the scenes when they wanted to show us the past and when it was the present day again. To be fair they did start writing it down as the story went along.
For the good parts. Honestly, the story on the whole wasn't bad. I liked the parts when they were working, the ads they do for products, photography, etc. I wished they could have showed us more. It would have been interesting.
Also, the acting on the whole was not bad. Yes, there were times, it felt fake, but it was not bad. Even the couples, they were all cute and I loved the kiss scenes and their interactions.
This drama is not the best ever, but it's not the worst. It's up to you whether to watch it or not.
This drama was crazy and it's not perfect, but I loved it! Honestly, there wasn't any point to this drama, but I enjoyed watching a roller coaster ride of the lives of these 3 women who are friends. It had hilarious moments and I laughed in moments when you shouldn't laugh, but I love black comedy so that's that.
For Chae Hee Soo, I really cried. She wished to be a simple housewife and a mother, but she did not get to have them. Then, to make it worse she had to be terminally ill.
Like her husband finally did something when he found out she was going to die. He may not have been the worst husband out of the 3 friends, but still he was frustrating and wanted to shake him by his collar. At least, she did get a good mother-in-law who appreciated her and her 2 friends. About her mother and brother that lived in San Francisco, that remained a mystery.
For Gong Ma Ri, she finally divorced her husband. I literally got excited and cheered for her. Like what's the point of staying with someone if he / she does not want you anymore. Like yeah, it's painful and hard, but it's better to divorce than be miserable and end up to the point you want to kill him / her.
Her husband, Lee Nak Goo was one of the worst husbands I ever saw. He deserved it all what happened to him. Like he had no shame at all. And his mistress, like WTH! She was worse!
For Yang Jin Ah and her husband. They were full of drama as well. At least they ended well with a daughter who was named after Chae Hee Soo.
Honestly, what I loved most in this drama was the sismance, friendship and sisterhood between the 3 women. They literally were there for each other, even to the point they assisted in attempted murder. You can say that since their husbands betrayed them in different ways, like lying, cheating, cheating in money, etc, they got to be loyal towards each other and be there for each other.
Anyway, on the whole I enjoyed this drama. Yes, it's not perfect, has annoying moments, draggy moments, etc, but it's worth checking it out. Well, if you love black comedy go for it and it's up to you whether to watch or not :)
I do not like shooting games at all, as like what's the point of just shooting (my opinion).
But it was interesting when they showed us inside the game and we see powerups, finding resources, how they work together, strategies, how they earn points, what happens in tournaments, types of guns, etc.
It was also interesting as well when we see behind the scenes of esports like the managers, sponsors, you need money to buy equipment, a place to train, live streaming, etc.
Moreover, we get to see that esports is like other sports as you need to train physically and mentally. You can also get injuries, etc.
I liked the costumes, the backgrounds of when they showed us inside the game, the cast, characters, and couples. I mostly loved the bromance; family feel and teamwork of the teams of SIK and JR.
Not bad on the whole. It's worth checking it out ^_^
A fun article and agree with the pros and cons :) But, I will always wait for a drama to finish before I start it. That's my cardinal rule that I follow at least for asian dramas.
If I lose interest while I wait for it to finish airing, that means I was never that interested in it in the first place. While, if a drama I really want to watch, I wait for it and start it immediately.
Like for example for Alchemy of Souls. I waited for 21st August to arrive and then they extended it by another week and I was like :'( But then I waited for it and binged watched it and loved it <3
I unexpectedly loved it! It took me 2 years to watch this drama and I was still reluctant to watch it.
I totally did not know what to watch + went with low expectations + I said whatever = I loved it. I laughed, I cried, I felt pain, I felt hopeful, felt lost, etc. It made me feel lots of emotions.
I mostly loved the story. I loved the tale about the Imoogi / Imugis / Korean dragon / a serpent. In this case, he could possess humans, bring diseases, read people's minds, etc, an evil being.
It was interesting and we got to learn about mountain spirits, totem spirits, nightmare spirits, spirit of darkness, other beings, ghosts, etc. It was also interesting about reincarnation, life, death, what happens after, the PowerPoint presentation was hilarious, the river, etc.
I also got invested in Nam Ji Ah finding her parents and she did find them thanks to the Lee Yeon and the others :D I totally did not guess that they would be in the cherry fruit. But it made sense since they were not dead, but not totally alive.
For the ending, I cried a lot. For Lee Yeon, I was hopeful that he would somehow return since he got to save the world from the Imoogi. But I did not want Lee Rang to be sacrificed though. That made me sad. Like he finally got to have a family on his own.
Although Lee Rang got a chance to be reincarnated or resurrected as a young boy and have a mother that loves him. So, it's kind of his wish of not being abandoned came true.
Literally, for the last few seconds of the last drama. We were told that Lee Yeon came back as a human. So why did his eyes glow? He's still a fox and lying? Or he's a human but kept his fox powers since he got resurrected with the fox bead? Or since he got resurrected, he made a deal to keep going after evil beings? They left that to our imagination.
Anyway, a happy ending to all characters and the world is safe.
I also loved the cast, characters, couples, family feel, etc.
Honestly, it wasn't that bad. Ok, it's not KinnPorsche, far from it. But the story wasn't that bad.
Yes, the acting from most of the cast had times that was fake, and the chemistry was not that good either. Like for me the actress playing as Cherry and was one of the characters that appeared the most apart from the men, was the best actress of them all. Her expressions were on point.
Anyway, as the story went along, I kind of got into the story and like got addicted to it. I kind of got used to all the actors and their characters as well, so it did not bother me that much when there were fake moments.
Anyway, the couples were cute, and I loved the kiss scenes between Kim and Kamol. What threw me off when they showed us the shower scene with 3 of Kamol's assistants / bodyguards. I was like WTH!! Like no warning at all. Anyway, if they are happy about it, I should not comment on it at all.
For the ending, I loved it. I think it's the first time I see a type of wedding party in a BL Thai drama. It was so cute and adorable <3
I know in Thailand LGBTQ+ couples cannot get married. I hope someday in Thailand and even throughout the whole world, LGBTQ+ people and couples can be accepted.
Ok some countries let LGBTQ+ people get married like in my country in Malta. But I feel like society is still far off from accepting other people how they are. I see this in my country, and it doesn't apply only for LGBTQ+ people. I see society even pointing at heterosexual couples, let alone LGBTQ+ couples.
I hope someday the world gets more open-minded and accept people how they are. I believe that we have only one short life and we should make the best out of it. It's a waste of time pointing at others and interfering with others. Like if you're pointing at others, you have other 4 fingers pointing back at you. Let everyone be happy as they are.
Ok, I'll end it here before I get more philosophical.
For the drama, I thought it would be worse, but I enjoyed it on the whole. Whether to watch or not, it's up to you. I got curious about it, plus it's short so I ended up watching it :)
Loved it! :D The story was nothing special, original or new, but it was really cute, fluffy, light and adorable <3 A drama that is fun and fast to watch ^_^
I really liked it! :D It isn't perfect and has stupid and ridiculous moments, but it's to the point that it's really hilarious! xD
What I really loved in this drama and the reason I watched this drama is the female lead, aka the Queen. She isn't the usual female lead we see in Chinese dramas, like petite, thin, graceful, sometimes damsel in distress type, a specific face type, etc; and honestly there's nothing wrong with a female lead like that.
But! This shows that women of different body types, appearances and characters can still make great and awesome female leads. Jackie Li is an awesome actress and I loved her acting and facial expressions. Also, even though she was called ugly throughout the drama, I found her pretty and cute ^_^
However, what I did not like in this drama was that the story got too draggy! I loved the beginning, but it started to annoy me from episode 16 onwards. I started to fast forward a lot of scenes.
It then got interesting again when the Xinque kingdom came into the picture and we discover that Liu Xie, the great chancellor, aka the Queen's father was actually acting as the villain to help the Emperor mature, learn more about his kingdom and his people and to catch the spies in the palace.
I kind of suspected it since Liu Xie had many chances and moments where he could have become the Emperor, but he always stayed back. So, he is a kind of anti-hero? Now, I realise why I could not hate him totally and felt torn in my emotions.
Anyway, in general this drama is quite good. I loved the cast, characters, couples, the hilarious moments cracked me up and are on point, etc.
I definitely recommend this drama. At least watch it for the pretty awesome female lead! <3
Loved it! :D I totally did not expect to like it this much. I literally decided to randomly watch it, since I did not know what to watch.
I loved the story, the characters, cast, couples, acting, osts, etc. It did not feel draggy at all considering each episode was 1h 30 mins each.
I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I felt pain, felt emotional, felt touched, felt happy, felt sad, etc. It made me feel lots of different feelings and I loved the messages as well. The script was really well written and each episode told us great messages.
For the ending I have mixed feelings. I'm happy and sad. Plus, I really cried a lot!
Logically speaking it had to end that way. Like Tofu had to give up his human body for Tarn to wake up since they were connected. And Tofu being as he is, I knew he would do the right thing.
But! My emotions as speaking now. I really wanted Tofu to keep being human and end up with Nut.
I'm glad that Tofu got to be alive and turned into a Teddy Bear again as I thought he disappeared. But I really wanted Tofu and Nut to be together. How and what, I don't know.
I like Tarn and is suitable for Nut, but I really felt in love with Tofu and wanted him to be with Nut. Tofu like fixed everything.
Anyway, all in all, I loved this drama and definitely worth checking it out.
PS: I'm glad Prib got to have her own happy ending. My wish came true ^_^
I loved Gen and Song as well, they were really cute <3 I hated Gen's glasses though, they kept annoying me throughout all the drama. Also, I loved his parents, they were really cute! <3
I loved the story, costumes, background, magic, osts, music and fighting scenes.
I loved the cast, characters, acting and the chemistry between the leads and the rest of the cast.
I loved it from the beginning till the end. There were no draggy scenes, and the story was not draggy either. The story had one thing lead to another and gives great messages as well :D
The important thing of all, Orchid and Dongfang finally got to be together even though they had to go through pain, torture, separation, others not accepting them together, with the 'so-called' destiny, etc. For a moment, I thought they would not end up together, but after 500 years they did, so a happy ending :D
I binged watched the 3 seasons and loved the story :D It had hilarious moments and even sad moments. Also, even though it was short, the story was consistent, one thing led to another and made sense.
I also loved the cast and characters. Great acting and loved the chemistry between the leads.
For the ending it leaves lots of questions. But I'll assume they reunite in the real world and have a happy ending. How and what happened it's a mystery.
Anyway, it's a short drama, so I kind of did not expect much of it. I'll take it as it is :)
Yeah I agree. They could have given Gen better frames. I wear prescription glasses myself and I take some time to decide what suits me and not. They literally gave him the worst glasses frame I ever seen and did not suit him at all.
It had more hilarious moments and the chemistry of our couple was still great.
For the ending, it was interesting and open-ended. Liang Wei Wei will do everything to protect Jing Qing, even at the cost of becoming a villain.
In the beginning the story was a bit confusing, but as the story went along it got better. I loved the acting and the chemistry of the couple. Plus, I'm glad they got to reunite in the real world ^_^
Off to see the second season.
