This! Also Hidden Shadow and especially Blossoms in darkness are the two most favorite and sought after youku produce dramas of Li Hongyi. Not to mention he’s taken a role that’s modern that isn’t with youku. He signed (rumored) a contract to produce majority dramas with youku. So it’s not LHY as the comment above suggests. He’s not the issue but youku is. They do this to my other favorite PxR an her latest drama flopped. FUWD did okay and on Wetv Hot list made it to top 1&2. So it did better than TD. And it was much older than this drama I believe. I’m just enjoying having him back. He’s humble an down to earth. He’s not hurting from money as he managed it well with his parents.

agreed. like the dynamics is nice but it gives me naive older brother and stubborn cute little sister. I just don’t see the chemistry there. Actually both Gu and Fu have more chemistry than these two.

he’s already one in the making. I feel for him but it’s like he’s also twisted. I get how he ends up being this way the abuse and bad treatment but I also think it’s also how they were born lesser than others. So for me he’s a good character / actor but I saw his villain era the moment he smiled. 😭

I like wen ju with the guard of her father. They have a lot of chemistry. Moreso than with ML.

I might be in the minority here but I don’t wanna see Fu Sheng and Wen Jue together. The actress is doing a fantastic job but I just don’t see chemistry. So I hope we don’t get any romance from them. I actually was hoping his TBOY costar whenever she appears be the love interest. Those two had so much chemistry visually and physically. I have wished for that pairing for so long. Still I’m enjoying this drama just wished if Fu Sheng had to have any sorta romantic feelings it could’ve been with his TBOY costar Flora Dai.

watching it on Viki. it’s pretty unique but it sometimes lag for me. I did see it’s not catching the market in mainland or international. I think her xianxia drama will.

It’s a 4 for me. I never thought I’ll be rating a Allen or Peng drama a freaking four. But it’s a four for me. I’m just glad it’s over and done. Both won’t have to deal with this drama nor the horrible backlash anymore. Just truly the worst historical period drama ever. Even a short drama could do better than this crap.
