This! We only have eight episodes and people expect her character to perform tricks outta a hat. Apparently she’s not written like that and to me that’s fine. It’s like any typical wuxia drama you got three types of female characters. The heroine female, the seductive assassin, and the gentle frail beauty of the mortal world. I actually like her character more than the heroine because spite her fragility she’s not going off thinking she knows everything or putting herself above one means. I like the other girl as well but her character is the type to boast and have high morality complex that turns into getting humble by ML. So she not my fav but she’s not someone I hate to watch. I think once the scenes I’ve seen already air perhaps their opinions will change.

Her hairstyle is rabbit like. I think they just meant mannerism wise. But in certain scenes she does things to help. That make you wonder who is she? I was told in novel she knew baby A Feng but in drama she didn’t know him. I’m very curious after Tang Li Ci she is second character who I am excited to see story

yes but it’s not a wasted potential. It’s doing really well. If romance is something that’s gotta be inserted into every little thing. Then the drama becomes more about romance than self discovery. This is a good drama that really doesn’t need even a bit of romance. It might have just a speck of a star dust of romance in it from what others have said. But in the end the drama is ML center and focusing on his tribulations, journey and the bonds he will build etc. I hope this help explained why this is one drama that truly doesn’t need it. But I get many want romance I just think this is good where it’s at. 😊
