Gwan Hee is definitely a player but you are viewing him from outside, while many of the contestants only have spend little to no time with him. We know he is a total cocky player as viewers but not much of his lies yet are revealed to the girls. The first girl Hye Seon called him out on his "all in" attitude and said that doesn't make sense but then she was sent to back to inferno split from him to know more. The second girl Ha Jeong, is just as bad of a player as Gwan Hee. She is clearly motivated by wanting to win over him. Same thing with him to her. The other girls have yet to really make much of an impression of him but we shall see in the next few episodes since they are all joining together. You can't say all the girls love it until we see more.

Again most of these contestants want attention and airtime, it is easiest to do that with characters like Ha Jeong & Gwan Hee.

Also being tricked versus being the tricker is not the same thing. Guys like Gwan Hee (and Ha Jeong for that matter) use a lot of manipulation (such as negging which Gwan Hee used earlier) and pretending to be considerate and sweet with your attention. You can't blame girls/guys for believing it when most are the victims in that scenario.

And guys only go for the prettest girls without even knowing them. Like enough. The reason the girls go for the player is because he is confident and plays the game. Most of the people on this show want air-time hence going for the player or dramatic person gives more air-time then going for the guy who barely does anything.

This season seems to be a game of personalities wanting to cause drama rather than a couple show. LMAO

I'll keep watching for now. I really dislike the whole, "I have to be the prettiest in the eyes of the guys vibe" some of the girls are putting out. And the guys are all so boring with little personality. Gwan Hee is just a player who wants attention and to cause drama, a walking red flag. Interesting to get someone like Ha Jeong who is more active and player type. That's a first on these type of shows that I have seen. She is also a red flag.

I was very confused by Min Young when after she headed to the 2 inferno from her paradise date with Jin Seok. She said he felt like a brother. And I was like WHAT?

The actress that is playing Yang Ying is probably the closeted and most convincing cross dresser compared to many.

Ning and Ren Xin having serious couple problems about where their futures lies is so good. I am proud that Ren Xin clarified that and she also stated her goals in helping women. Rare to have such as well stated FL.

I watch a lot of my dramas based on the plot it has, whether the actors are good or my favorites. I don't mind popular traffic actors that generate hype for their drama. Don't see anything wrong with it and don't feel it kills anything unless it's already badly written and acted. Then I just move on.

Fan will support regardless if there is hype or not. Just like haters will hate on it because they already dislike the actor. I don't think fan culture has changed, it's just in the speed lane thanks to a lot of convenient tools we have.

As to your cons, I'm definitely in the few community members who doesn't mind spoilers. As for fan wars and toxicity, I just serve it back because why not? Either you engage back because you have an opinion you want heard or you walk away with better things to do. LMAO but that may just be me.
