Is it possible to watch this without having watched Season 1?
You can but definitely put Season 1 on your list. I like watching Yumi's character growth and the dynamic with Woong. Well worth the time spent.

Did you watch all their dramas?
I'm so glad that part 2 has been given the greenlight because an open ending makes me throw pillows in my tv room like a 2 year old. I thought HDL had an ending that made sense and in that way, I was satisfied. There was enough foreshadowing through the entire drama that if it hadn't ended the way it did, it would have felt broke. Thanks for the article and feedback!

He doesn’t want her know his dark side 😭 his real life and agenda
That's interesting. Also, the reverse seems to be true: she didn't care if he saw her vicious side, especially when it involved justice for her friend.

babi did wrong imo but i still want babi endgame. Am i crazy? help me -_-
Not crazy at all. The beauty to this drama is the realism in both of Yumi's relationships. Both connections with her boyfriends are flawed, heart wrenching and beautiful and as a viewer, I've had to push pause and walk away from an episode several times. The emotions I feel are sometimes too raw and unfiltered and I have to be slowly compress before going on.

Did you watch all their dramas?
I've watched "The Master's Sun", "A Korean Odyssey" and "Hotel Del Luna" and now this one. I love "A Korean Odyssey" until the end, which I thought was untied and messy. I've re-watched "Hotel Del Luna" so much that I'm surprised my remote doesn't have a button for it. With this one, the back story in episode 1 was so in depth that I wondered if I should stay but by episode 2, I was hooked and obsessed.

Title Yumi's Cells Season 2 Spoiler
Episode 10
Babi presented himself as the perfect boyfriend. Until he's not. His attraction for a girl who is helpless or hurt will always be his Achilles heel, especially as soon as he is in a comfortable relationship. Woong will always keep his emotions close, especially in the hardest times. Those that don't communicate are destined to be misunderstood and alone and his pride is still the one emotion he cannot diminish. Selfishly, I don't want Yumi with either person but also don't want this story to travel to season 3. For a romcom show with inclusion of cartoon emotions, this expertly written and acted show is too truthful and close for me to emotionally handle. I'd like Yumi to live in contentment and point forward, have closure and a happy ever after. No matter if she's with someone or alone, this character deserves the happy ending.

Episode 10
I've seen parents over, and over, make the mistake of trying to turn their child into the perfect version of themselves; the sports player who was never good enough puts their son or daughter through grueling hours of practice and training only to throw a hissy fit if they cannot fit their envisioned mold. Shao Shang is the unfortunate daughter of a mother who has these expectations and this beating was the culmination of emotions from a mother who cannot handle the reality of her daughter. Shao Shang, on the other hand, understood the destined punishment that her mother would issue and turned the handle on the only part of her narrative she could control: when and why she would be beat and how it might benefit her life. Expertly written and acted by the cast and crew because this went from viewing a third person narrative to feeling as if I was one in the crowd gasping at the cruelty.

I love the fact that the evil SML gets a love story.

She played the perfect slightly evil second lead in "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" and now this. I love it when a very cunning female character wipes the board clean with those that play chess with people's lives. This really has been entertaining.
