I think they are throwing out clues left and right that it has something to do with the male co-worker. He's been staying late at work, repeatedly pointing out that he is clueless on the job. This is the car wreck that you can see coming in the distance but can't look away from.

This drama is like an intricate spider web and so very enjoyable. Episode 1 was hard to watch when Crown Prince Xiao Di was in the ice and snow, shivering. I wanted to force roll him into a blanket, which let me know I'd bet killed in less than five minutes in a Chinese court.

This drama could have been a lot better (I'm blaming direction / production and writing on this because all the actors have been phenomenal in other projects) and the ending had me yelling at my rocking chair. Lazy writing.

Very much agree. Although this drama is very well acted all the way around, Lee Jae Wook has taken a very unsympathetic character and made him interesting. Kudos to his acting skill!

I love this drama so much and am shocked at the low ratings comments below. This show is a 100% pure addiction for me.

I truly don't understand a mentality that hates for actors / actresses for dating or multiple collaborations. I cannot imagine being in their shoes and have to hide any personal interaction for fear that no one will support future projects. That has to be an extremely isolating profession.

@ChineseDramaFan - we are in luck. "The Last Prince" starring
Chen Xing Xu and Sun Yi is slated for 2019 and two more dramas are listed for him with a potential release date of 2020. Peng Xiao Ran was supposed to have "The Legend of Ba Qing" released in late 2019 but I think it will either be severely delayed or entirely shelved because of the other lead actors (Fan Bing Bing is also the main lead). I'd love to see her in more dramas.

I think you've summed up the hardest and most riveting part of this story.....we as viewers (especially after a couple of rewatches) know the impactful decisions of both the first and second lead and slowly watch Xiao Feng's world become the thing she despised the most: the captured Queen in a royal chess game for power.

@TofueToffee - I'm so glad someone else cannot move past this drama. This one checks every box off for me as far as acting, writing, story arcs, production, etc. About once every other month, I start rewatching from episode 1 and love every single moment of screen time.

This drama looks, feels and sounds like my newest addiction. Does anyone know an official release date?

Great article! Most original drama that I've seen. As soon as there was cognitive reasoning for some of the characters outside of the stage, I was hooked.

It's dubbed but with his own voice. I watched Li Yi Tong in "Bloody Romance" and she has a beautiful speaking voice. Why they decided to dub it is beyond my understanding.

This drama is so very well acted and unfortunately, watching episode 3 was like viewing my life with subtitles. This drama hurts.

I loved this drama when it explained the difference between being in the shadows and then following a writer's whim for about 10% of a characters life. That concept threw every understanding I had of drama formulas out the window (for me).

"W" was interesting because the idea was fresh but then the plot went in circles. I spent a lot of viewing time wishing for a more "point a to point b" plotline.

I'm in all in for this one but love the character of Baek Kyung more than Ha Ru (at this point in the story). Baek Kyung is someone who fights a dark side and I'm intrigued to see if he wins that battle.

The absolute only issue I have with this drama is the dubbing. I love actress Li Yi Tong's voice and to substitute it with someone else is just wrong.
