I think Chu Ke Huan will end up with the woman he lived with for 10 years. She's gonna go after his co-worker / competitor and that will make him gravitate back to her to keep his placeholder in the company. As far as Zhou Wei Wei, I think she will step away from the fiance and end up leaving for another job in a different location. I'm like you though, because there is no guessing this storyline. At first, I thought it was going to be the cliche cheating drama but after episode three, that thought was tossed out the window along with any true guess of where this ends. I am solidly hooked.

My personal belief is that WE believes in commitment but has never, before CKH, questioned her relationship "goals". She was older, saw her friends married and with children, and she settled into her fiance's "vision". I see Li Hao Yi enjoying his new roll in the company and neglecting her one more time which leads to the beginning of the end of their engagement. I'm curious, how do you see this ending?
Let's be honest...cheating is acceptable based on how well it's packaged. I admit to being an avid follower of…
DollHouse - fantastic summary of the characters. This show is one that I watch for 10 minutes and have to walk away from because I identify with the true to life emotions of each portrayed character (unbelievable acting from everyone in this drama). I'd never put "2+2" together with Chu Ke Huan's job but it is certainly an adrenalin ride that mirrors his approach to personal interactions. I think his pursuit of Zhou Wei Wei, in the beginning, was the thrill of hunt that evolved into admiration. Zhou Wei Wei is someone who fell into a serious relationship out of loneliness and confused emotional feelings with security. My true weakness is the love of a good story and, to me, this deserves a perfect 10. Just...that....good.
I've become an Asian drama addict over the past five years. I've seen the really good, the mediocre and the one's that I'm personally grateful there's a fast forward button. This drama is written, directed and acted with extraordinary care and it makes me feel as if I'm the invisible human viewing their world. Thank you @ cheshire unicorn for your well written piece about "Before We Get Married" and for bringing attention to it. This is truly a rollercoaster ride that shouldn't be missed.
Oh wow Ming Lan has Zanilia in it!! How have I not heard of this before?! THANKYOU I have to confess I have been…
That's on my "to watch" list as well. Once I find a Chinese drama that is well written and produced, I rewatch the thing multiple times. Ming Lan and Goodbye My Princess still get a weekly glance just to see if I missed any details.

This is how crazy I've gotten in my dramaworld, but I measure all historical Chinese dramas against "The Story of Ming Lan". It definitively displays the power of language and intelligence in adversarial situations. A definite must see!
I cant decide if this would give me a different look on "cheating" I mean cheating is cheating,. No positive way…
This series should be titled "Addictive". This is such a well written, extremely well acted (by all) series that it's like eating one potato chip a week. This next episode cannot come out soon enough....
A pleasure! What are you planning to watch first? XD
Rookie Agent Rogue, Cruel City and Empress Ki, not necessarily in that order. I've watched all the rest, multiple times, just for the strong female lead. Every time a story starts out with the innocent, naive and cute girl character, I want to bang my head on a countertop or throw something at the tv screen. Another Thai drama with a spunky female lead was "Khun Mae Suam Roy". It's also pretty good.
In interviews right before they were married, Song Joong Ki talked in a manner that displayed the traditional Korean value of a male dominant household. Song Hye Kyo was older than him, had dated in the public eye several times and that probably lent itself to a firm stance of independence. I think Song Joong Ki's announcement of a divorce displayed anger, Song Hye Kyo's displayed damage control and both were telling in that it wasn't a joint statement. Divorce is a very hard process outside of the public eye let alone in the fishbowl of fame their chosen vocation puts them in. I personally wish them swift healing and peace.
The four main actors in this drama are so freaking convincing in their parts! I have to watch it in 15 minute intervals because the emotions they make me feel go straight through the roof.
Lol you need to like Lakorns (thai dramas) not everyone likes them....I just watch them when Im attrracted because…
Same here. After watching a K-Dramas for the last four years, I've started enjoying Thai and Chinese Dramas more (exceptions: I love Angel's Last Mission and My Ahjussi). I thought the male and female leads in this were absolutely fantastic at nuanced acting; it went beyond the slap and kiss and you could see the torment on both.
This is the most thought provoking drama that I've watched in a while. First off, KUDOS to the writers because this topic, in less delicate hands, could have been flat and one dimensional as far as storytelling. Instead and without boring the viewer, there are fleshed out characters in a grey morality. The other award goes to the actors Jasper Liu and Puff Kuo whose subtle expressions convey a sense of longing, loss and desperation to feel. I'm thoroughly addicted.
