I am on episode 21 and I can see that the leads’ relationship is going to be very complicated given who they are . The FL is going to have her loyalties divided between Wu Zhi Shu and the ML. And the SML is not simple !

Agreed. Definitely TTEOM energy but the story takes a different path. This one is up there for me with TTEOM as one of my favorite xinxias. LBFAD does not even come close the FL there is just horrendous and the story did not resonate like this one. I dropped that drama because the FL was not at all convincing and their love story was not.

Well it takes two hands to clap. . It would never have been good if one of the leads was bad. They both delivered and that is why the chemistry was mind blowing

Yes I see all those similarities. The FLs are unique , witty and mentally strong. Yeh MLs are very devoted once they fall in love and it’s all about protecting that love. And yes the characters are very chill . O totally agree . I am glad though that the storylines and settings are very different. It both very engaging and interesting stories

None at all. Maybe just that ML and FL are from different realms.. but that is about it. Both are very interesting stories for sure

Yep the ink demon episodes are absolutely amazing . I also loved that fight between the ML and the ink demons. It really showed how powerful the ML was! I am totally enjoying this show ! And the new guy is turning out to be the perfect opponent ! Every episode is amping up the story to the next level!

Wow! The production of this drama is just very well done . And Wu Jun Ting is doing so well as the grey second ML . I have always loved his acting. The leads are of course amazing. And the story has picked up so well at ep 18. Really loved that battle between the ML and the ink demons in 17. That was amazing!

That he definitely has. I am liking all the intrigue in this drama . And I am totally digging the SML as a negative character too. I think the leads have portrayed their characters well.

Thank you! You pretty much spelt out what I am thinking. And it is fine. It is still a very unique story and I am enjoying it. The SML has a lot of grey shades for sure . I am at ep 16 .

He has powers yes - but I am on ep 14 and I have not seen much yet . I guess this comment of mine has been taken negatively. I am not adding fodder to this forum where finding flaws seems to be a huge sin.
