I read some comments about how this drama spent 'too many episodes' for the characters's past story. The story…
Not sure why having a format similar to another drama is such a big deal anyway. They just used the present as a starting point for the story . Still don’t know why that is an issue .
I would have agreed with you if that happened only in this drama but we all know this happens in pretty much most…
I do agree the the majority of FL characters created these days are irredeemable and unfit to be in a relationship. Flawed is ok but to show them as self absorbed, uncaring, entitled and narcissistic is bad . Some of them have gone through trauma/ sexual assaultbut somehow being in a relationship makes it better ????- I am actually puzzled about this one. These women are ok with multiple men including ML literally stalking them. How can this be Ok. And yes I have dropped these dramas. But this one is not bad. they seem to have had a clean break and their own lives for 10 yrs. Which is very different
Can people stop talking about the novel and spoiling the drama for everyone and also skewing their judgements? This is just plain ridiculous because it is obvious that they have deviated from the novel. Viewers should be allowed to watch the drama for what it is. This forum is just getting out of hand . Even if she had a couple of other relationships or even a marriage in between that did not work outwhat is the big deal ? It is 10 yrs - not a short period of time . Life happens. For heaven’s sake get real. Because in reality people move on . He may not have had a chance to have another relationship because of what he was dealing with - which is fair. This ridiculous notion of ‘purity’ and judgments because of a character is just plain stupid.
The male lead doesn’t get to unilaterally decide to end the relationship and then suddenly show up demanding…
I actually stand by the ML in this whole mess. You Should watch and make a decision. Everyone here is expecting a college kid to make such rational and mature decisions and it is unrealistic . He did what he thought was best given the circumstances. And trust me what he was facing with was not simple.
I agree she always brushes him off and just assumes that everything will be ok with him. He picks up everything…
That is in the novel- I have really not seen that in the drama. They seem to have changed that part of her. She may have multiple pursuers that’s it. Also 10 yrs is a long time . How can one possibly stay that devoted for so long? Life happens. It would not be surprising if both had other relationships.
I agree she always brushes him off and just assumes that everything will be ok with him. He picks up everything…
Don’t listen to the comments. I suggest making your own judgement. That whole comparison to L&P is completely unnecessary and they are trying to compar Chen Feiyu’s character there and here - again that is stupid. You can’t compare a masterpiece to other dramas and not everything he is going to be in will be L&P. So I would not go by the biased comments here
so the b...s... episodes coming up [that doesnt mean the previous were great] ....... something tells me that…
Even older mature people will find it hard to talk about things like this. One can’t expect a young college student to handle something like this well .
Him going from using a carryon travel bag to a suitcase was forboding, not to add him waking up and watching her…
I agree she always brushes him off and just assumes that everything will be ok with him. He picks up everything about her when she is upset and helps her with it even if she does not say a word about it to him. But on the other hand her EQ is a little off. All the stuff he was saying to her should have hinted that something was terribly wrong with him. She is too focused on herself and her work and cannot see him struggling .
It is so easy to say - oh you should share everything with your loved one. But in reality there are some things you cannot tell them. In Gan Yang’s position getting her involved or even letting her in was not right . That was some bad stuff he was dealing with. DZT could have been implicated if god forbid his dad wanted her to do something illegal. Creating that distance between them was the right thing to do. What kind of promise could he have made to her after this? Can marriage still be on the cards? So I think he made the right decision. Also it is not easy to confide these things in friends. If they were a married couple yes they should share the burden but that is not what they are . And he should not put his parents problems on her shoulders just like she does not put her financial issues on him.
so the b...s... episodes coming up [that doesnt mean the previous were great] ....... something tells me that…
Exactly . His circumstances were really awful. His dad could have manipulated DZT to do some dangerous stuff where she could have ended up in prison. So breaking up without going into all the details was the only option he had . In some ways his family was even more complicated than hers . Gan Yang did not know what he was up against and whether he would come out of it unscathed . So involving her /letting her in was not the right thing to do especially since this involved money
Should watch and make a decision. Everyone here is expecting a college kid to make such rational and mature decisions and it is unrealistic . He did what he thought was best given the circumstances. And trust me what he was facing with was not simple.
