Well we don’t know if they will capture all of this from the book. In general the FL was not as invested in the relationship as the ML . Until we watch the present episodes we can’t make assumptions . I am watching this drama with an open mind. I think they have portrayed their personalities and the relationship issues that arise because of that very well.

No I don’t want them to forget Li Xun from L&P. It is such an iconic character and a L&P was a beautiful drama, that I have also watched multiple times and will watch again. But I do want Arthur Chen to shine in other roles that are differ t from Li Xun

The FL’s acting is good . If you think about it the character she is playing is a very lukewarm person for whom relationships are not a priority. She has other things that she focuses more on . So her being more passionate than this would have been unrealistic. I think they are showing that imbalance between the both as far as their investment in the relationship is concerned very well. She has done a great job portraying that aspect

I have seen a lot worse MLs and the irritating part is is that these same viewers rated those dramas higher. I don’t think the ML is that bad here . But I agree - this is not female empowerment at all. In fact it is an insult to women

They have started doing this very often now and I have dropped a few shows because of this. My dropped list will say it all. I don’t know how a relationship can work this way in real life. And i think it is teaching the wrong lesson to women and men in society by skewing expectations from a relationship. Being the way the ML is , is humanly impossible in real life

Honestly what LXY does best is xinxia and Tiffany Tang is gorgeous. 41 yrs is nothing these days . Also everyone of us is getting older by the second- so what is this non existent perpetual fountain of youth? Does watching teenagers and actors in their 20s play these roles make them any younger or rather make them age in reverse? I am really fed up with this nonsense

What do yo mean? Does that make a difference in a relationship where the woman hides everything and makes her own decisions? She does not respect him and cares only about money so my question is this- does he even owe her that courtesy? We have not come to that part yet but o don’t think he is going to lie to her

I know what you mean. They don’t understand that weak. Spineless MLs are not attractive especially ones whose lives revolve around the woman. In real life women do not like such men😂
