This is not insensitive at all. It is a realistic look at a person who has been through trauma. And I have met with several people with mental illness and lived with one for a while and had kids with them. . So yeah don’t make judgments about people you don’t know

Well I stood by someone through mental illness as well and did not leave them . But could not forgive them after they cheated. That was the bottom line for me. I don’t hold their mental illness against them but some things are a bottom line for me

I think it is pretty obvious to him that she is not alright . There have been changes in her personality since they knew each other in high school. I am aware that Wen Yifan is completely oblivious to people’s intentions around her . But it is not that hard to figure out - if you really want to you can . But in her case she is not interested - she does not need any of that right now in her life especially after what she has been through . And if you read what I have written here- I make it clear that relationships need more than just love and yes patience is one of them but communication is the other important aspect . And so is trust . The ML is doing all of this to build that but he can also see how distant she is . I am not putting down the FL here. This was just a comment about the state of their relationship/ interactions so far .

And I never said that he should just leave . He’s standing by her during hard times and that is what you need . Yep that will add a different dimension to the story 😂🤣. And extrapolate on the trauma she has experienced because in all serial killer stories there is always some psychological trauma involved . Hope she communicates that to them ML better because the ML is suffering right now because he feels that anything he does is not enough . Obviously if you don’t love a person you can t put up with all of this. And it is not her fault for being the way she is - sexual assault and her family being the way they are all a lot to deal with . But if she really loves and cares about the ML she should talk to him about all of it regardless of whether their relationship progresses or not.

I have not watched 10 yet so no spoilers . I am also stating things as they are too. And my point is also the same - that communication and her opening up is going to be important . The reason Sang Yan has not made his intentions clear is because of the way she is . He does not know how to approach her and close the gap. He has to maintain a delicate distance and walk on egg shells even though he loves her deeply. And it is because he knows that she is mentally unwell . He is making all these efforts but he still does not know if there is a future with her and that is what he wants .

Exactly my point . Relationships are hard and require a lot more than just love. The normal people who stay with mentally ill people also have a very difficult time because they have to deal with a lot

I think people are taking my comments the wrong way. All I said was that one needs a lot of patience to deal with someone who cannot open up. And that does not mean that he does not love her- and yes I like that he pampers her and cares for her deeply. All I am saying is that it must be hard to do so without reciprocation . And yeah she is trying g to save his money -but really from his side -is that what he wants? I understand that she has been through hell and there is trauma and mental illness there . I don’t think she is taking care of herself either . She is a victim with her own coping mechanisms and she was forced into taking him as her room mate. But is he aware of all her issues? No. The fact that he loves her deeply helps . But if you look at this situation realistically how long can you maintain this delicate balance when you don’t know where it is going ?

I am not saying it is her fault -please do not put words into my mouth. All I am saying is that it must be hard not to not receive any reciprocation and he definitely has a lot of patience .- which is what is needed here

How can you say it is unrelated. It’s so obvious that she is very disconnected from everything and everyone including the ML. It would be very hard to get close to this kind of person and yes the ML does have a lot of patience . If it was not for the fact that he loved her deeply it is hard to do this with no reciprocation. Sometime love is just not enough . And yes I am not trivializing her trauma - and yes something like that can cause a person to shut off like her . But it can be very frustrating from the ML’s point of view. And yes the audience can look at it that way too. I do empathize with the ML too - whatever he does is not enough till now and he does not know how to close the gap. If you are not seeing that then I don’t know what exactly we are watching either

I am not trivializing her trauma. And I am aware that she may have been sexually assaulted . All I am saying is that people around her don’t know. I don’t think the ML knows either . And yes even if you love that person deeply , it takes a lot of patience and fortitude to deal with something like this with your partner . We always think about the victims but the people who stay with them also suffer . That is how it is

And of I want to continue to watch the show it is completely my business. And one more thing - I never said he did not love her. Yeah she is cruising through life like she does not get affected by anything around her. She has built this wall around herself so she does not get emotionally affected by anyone’s feelings or reactions. If you don’t see that then yeah we are not watching the same drama

Wow I did not know an opinion could elicit this kind of response. I disagree her actions show that she is not interested at all and yes when she is asking him to move out, trying to pay for everything etc she is pushing him away. So it is only on the ML’s side that the interest is coming . I don’t think she has ever expressed anything to him. But I feel that she does owe him some sort of explanation and clarity. Even if she does not want to jump into a relationship at least she should tell him because they have a history . Minding her own business is not an option here. Her being aloof and emotionally distant is not the right approach . I don’t think she was straightforward with Liang till the end. And if you are telling me that she never knew or understood- then give me a break. The trauma aside - she needs to open up . It’s good to acknowledge that the Fl Is flawed . So you don’t need to get aggressive about it

Honestly sang Yan has a mountain of patience to deal with the FL . Ugh she is very frustrating - granted there is trauma et. But still she is pushing him away in every single way. And now that the Xiang Liang situation is resolved, the student actor will replace him for the triangle. And she will just cruise through all of this.

Well with the bracelet incident . I guess the friend was interested in him too- that is why she kept probing the FL . But even a best friend should not be this meddlesome - in fact if she is one one she should give the FL some space .

Well she is definitely caring about every little thing about him when they are living together. So hopefully there will be some thawing. We definitely need to know her side of the story- because some thing big definitely happened and it has to do with that aunt and cousin and I don’t think her mom was there for her at all or anyone for that matter
