Ok . I have not read the novels so o have to go by drama interpretations. But they may have done that in HL because the drama needed to emphasize more on the brother - sister relationship. While here it is more about lov, heartbreak etc. so maybe the two could coexist

If that is how he was in the novel then they definitely failed to capture that in HL. If they had retained it his character would have been interesting and charming as you say. . Oh well! And they could have added some of that warm side of him here ,

So far I don’t see the FL show any interest in the ML. Only he seems to be yearning for her. I felt that from the beginning that is how it was

Yeah find the SML and the friend a little annoying. They are both very nosy

I feel like they could have kept some of that for him here . I feel like he is too sad and melancholic here LOL- very unlike him. Especially because someone says below that the timeline is an overlap

Yep I agree about he FL. She keeps everything so close. I don’t think she fully opened up to that ML either in high school. As I am watching ep 6 I still find the friend too nosy and annoying.

But she seems to know that they have a history. So I don’t buy that completely

Why does the FL’s friend think that SY is bullying the FL? And I don’t like how she is trying to push that Xiang and the FL together - if she knows the FL well and is true friend - she should leave her alone. Our FL needs to start living a life first . I feel bad for the ML it’s like he is hitting a wall that will never break

Wen Yifan Is so closed up. It’s just painful to watch her . And man Sang Yan’s personality has been changed completely from hidden love . Lol that Sang Yan would not be so lovelorn and lost😂. He was a loud buffoon and a brat. I don’t recognize this him at all

Yeah there is trauma there and mental illness . I guess we will know as we delve further into the drama. Yeah she seems shut off from people in general . She does not confide in anyone. And she does not appear to get too close to people either

No I am not trying to get into an argument here. I just merely wrote down my observations so far. It looks like she feels very guilty towards the ML for the breakup and tries to avoid him at all costs

She is traumatized . And such people can appear submissive in certain situations . From what I have observed so far - first 3 episodes - Rather than being independent, she seems to isolate herself from people . Yes she appears efficient and sharp at work but she withdraws as far as social interaction is concerned

The FL seems to have a traumatic past. And she seems to be just surviving .she is going to be complicated. Let’s see how this unfolds. On ep 2

I am sure they added this xtra to the drama just to frustrate the viewers 😂
