Exactly she always plays characters who are independent and stand up for themselves. And yes there is no ML- FL bias there. Is equal footing. Even her ML characters are written that way.. it’s very pleasant to watch

Who says there is no character growth with Bai shuo? Of course there is- she has come to terms with the fact that what she is seeking is not easy and that it will take time and that she needs to be patient. She started trusting Fan Yue more and is working with him. She has also started standing up for him. She has gotten better at thinking about things. So yes that is character growth. Her stubbornness is essential so she does not give up easily. And I like the fact that she is feisty. A very strong woman who will not back out easily .

Her character is well written and interesting. Not one dimensional for sure.

Well she was like a spy and was torn between her mission and his love for him. She never came to terms with it until much later . And as a result of that hurt him so badly. But you could also see how tortured she was. All of us in that show really rooted for TTJ because his character was so pitiful and sad . So Bai Lu’s character has no chance. I actually like that she plays characters like this that have an agenda, a motive , are clever, manipulative and kind of badass. Not soft women who are pushovers for sure :)

Yeah I don’t find her annoying at all. All that strength, stubbornness and feisty character makes her very interesting and she is very smarr and stands her own ground. Nothing to hate about that character

Yeah same here I was reminded of TTEOM in that scene as well. Nothing can turn me against Bai Lu. She plays complex multidimensional characters so well and is a delight to watch!
