All she had to do was have a mature conversation with HT and asked him what he was going to do with XingChen instead of falling into that trap. It really did not require a dramatic falling out that happened just because she assumed from ZD’s words that he was going to screw her. Of all people!

Both are to be blamed. They are awful at communicating. The ML lives in his bubble but is sincere towards her and she is just naive and emotional about stuff in general . The breakup will give them a chance to understand each other and what they want .

Well clearly the trio baited on her personality and her insecurities. They want to destroy HT. She is actually their pawn and does not realize it. She fell into the trap and they have successfully driven that wedge between her and HT.
