Yes that is what I thought too- they wanted it to be special. It would have given nice closure if they had just added it to the last episode. It felt a little incomplete the way it ended

They get together in ep20/21
Break up around 27/28 and get back together in 31.
It’s not a real break up - it is a misunderstanding- the ML just stops talking to her. And the FL thinks they have broken up.

These two actors played off each other so beautifully just loved everything about them. He was a very calm, collected and thoughtful character while she was all over the place LOL

Yeah - but I guess SS was not yet ready while GJ is and Shi Yue is still young and studying . I am glad they did not have all 3 together though. Would have diluted the effect. This focused on the main couple

Same here it really is a great psychological study. We have all seen people with perfect careers and imperfect lives in reality but it looks like the viewers are finding hard to accept these flawed characters. The real world is full of imperfections and I am sure many have imperfect relationships so why this judgement? I am actually happy that the leads especially the FL was not so perfect. That is what gave depth to this story. It was so much about her growth as a person - she had a great learning curve through that relationship. Isn’t that who we are in real life as well?

Yep I thought he same - they could have clearly added this 10 mins to the last episode . Why a special episode- such a waste. But loved it thought! Very sweet!

Well said - we only have a viewer’s perspective. and I think many viewers here are looking for perfection when they themselves are imperfect. We all make mistakes in life and hope to get forgiven for it. Why is everyone trying to burn the FL on a stake for this? Non of us know why many couples click even in real life but we are trying to be so judgemental. The situations portrayed in this drama are quite real if you think about it. Both leads grew during that relationship - this story was a lot about their transformation as well. It is not just a simple rom com

People label everything toxic these days without rhyme or reason. They had a very healthy relationship - some misunderstanding in the middle - yes- who does not have that in real life? People just exaggerate and believe they are so perfect

Really beautiful drama- now that I have completed the final episode. Definitely one of the better dramas of this year and the leads were really good . Thoroughly enjoyed this one from beginning to end.

Rewatching this gem of a drama. Really loved everything about it- the story and its depth, the leads, the comedy- everything
