It takes time to get over the death of someone you loved. The issue here is that she went hastily into this marriage just because she needed his connections to get what she wants. I will not applaud her or justify this reason. Her fault is in the word ‘hasty’ - she is just not serious about this marriage. To me it seems like there is physical attraction at least - but then she will claim to fulfill the duties of a wife. But I do think that even if he thought of it as a rebound relationship , he still cares about her . That is why he follows her everywhere . But she seems to be this controlling person who will withhold everything if he mentions the ex. Actually that is a red flag . She had even denounced her family for her opportunities. I actually don’t know what to make of her . Very hard to figure out

But the vice versa then should be true. Too. I don’t think anyone here is looking at his thinking here at all. Not everything is just about the woman. There are 2 people here. Yeah I know he has agreed to it etc etc. but to be this controlling is a bit much. And to say he just took her money is unfair. Because she kept his money too with her.if had taken it for a selfish reason I would be yelling at him too . Everything just revolved her family and her college dreams. That is selfish. And he needs to slog so she can get that. Think realistically. Who would be ok with that?
