In what way he will be constrained by the Rong family's rules ? They are unfair only if he was interested in their tea business and it isn't the case here. He can freely be the official he wanted to be. Even FL want that for him.

The Grandma Era is done and FL already say what she wanted the Rong family to become. Why would she leave the family she mostly built for more than a decade now ? She is already creating a new path...

Just want to clarify something. ML didn't abandon his whole career for FL. He already had one that he made by himself. He is even acknowledged by the Emperor. The only reason he hesitated was to protect his lost brother legacy, his nephew. He didn't care at all about his birthright as a Duke - especially from someone who destroyed his mom & brother. He is self made and really pride of that fact. So I'm really lost at how some are that surprised he gave up on it & call him a simp for that reason. Oo

He is still the Prefet of Linji and didn't marry into the Rong family yet.

Probably when ML or FL will discover that ML's dad was the "culprit" from FL's dad accident. It's a misunderstanding so it shouldn't break them up if ML will open at what really happened in the past but it would sure bring down the heat. :)

Xiao Zhiyu! That was too brutal of a rejection! Fine you dodged her but moving out the very next day ?! I know, I know. He wanted to "protect" her and not involve her in his crusade but god, no wonder he was single for life (as far as we know). :P

And Pei Zhen swoop in at the perfect timing! Ngl, I like men with glasses. Even toxic one. I will cheer for him for now just to spite ML. (Don't take it too seriously I'm just watching the train wreck with my popcorn. :D)

Really enjoyed this one! If you are into courtyard intrigue it's definitely for you. FL was clearly the star of the show. Some apparently found ML a bit off-putting for being too eager to stay by FL's side but personally I only saw a man that knew what he wanted & made everything to make it work.

A solid 9/10 for me!

They have the same mother. The main wife was infertile so she snatched ML's Brother to be her own. Then, ML's mother fled to escape the Duke household while she was pregnant with ML.

Agree with that but the bit about "not to spark debate or confrontation" while having such opinion on the drama and share it in such public setting on said drama is quite... hypocrite ? A bit too strong of a word (English isn't my native language) I will concede that but it isn't like it was your private social media and I went out of my way to nitpick on your opinion.

For me they were the same person all along as I never saw a drama where they were both in it at the same time. And frankly I'm quite surprised as most "twin actors" heavily play into it and mostly stick together as it was their only selling point. Glad they can stood their ground individually.

But I don't know why, it's quite the shock for me. He was a he and now they are a they. My brain have a really hard time processing it tbh.

What are you watching because obviously we don't watch the same thing apparently. "Hollow" ? "Unremarkable" ?

I don't know about a season 2 but we have a precedent with "Flourished Peony" & "In the Name of Blossom" (part 2 of "Flourished Peony"). It was made this way because a Drama cannot exceed 40 episodes so to tell the full story they needed to make two Dramas. Maybe it's also the case with this one but again, I don't know the source material and never heard about a part two for this one (not that I've searched so take it with a heavy grain of salt).

I'm at Ep. 17 and so far it's a fun watch. Nothing really original but it works. Just one thing bother me a bit: they made a bit too obvious that the main culprit is the ML's adoptive sister. I even suspect her to be the "lost sister" of FL. I think she killed FL's mother because she recognized her daughter but I'm not sure about the real motive after that. She likes ML ? Did she work for an unknown characters that saved her ? I will see.

I mean, she is the daughter of someone really influential so digging her address isn't that difficult for Dramaland. And yeah, she isn't the most polite individual but again, typical of Cheabol's Heir behavior from Dramaland female edition. :P

Yeah the CEO hyped the reveal SOOO much and even the "preview" don't give one hint about it. :(

I highly suspect Hyejoo herself. The father probably wouldn't have made the whole case this "public" and have probably more discreet way to ruin ML without killing someone else in his band.

That or their manager. He seems lowkey but I don't know, he give me bad juju for some reason. xD

No, she came to Sena because she is publicly his lawyer and she probably wanted to "help" her defend him. She didn't expect to see him here at all.
