Well, another "great actor" that will burn in flame. They really like playing with fire. Like, "she was legal when they started dating" does sound like a convenient excuse to avoid legal pursuit. The fact even if it's right, as a public figure, it's still shady & could only hurt his image. What did he expect ? Of course everyone will trash him now regardless of the truth. :x
And I don't want to be that guy but the way that controversy was revealed make thing even more out of control. The girl unalive herself on his birthday. And it was the catalyst of this shitstorm. It just scream "I'm doing that because of HIM!". And just like that regardless of the truth, he will be guilty. I'm not saying he isn't - he is most likely - but even if he wasn't, it's over for him.
And all that could be avoided if he was just... a decent human being. Or a smart one at least. I can't believe he couldn't have dated a woman that wasn't "borderline minor". He is successful, rich, handsome & was loved by all beforehand. Anyway, Karma did bite him really hard. :O
I can't hate on this drama even with the romanticizing of stalking because the premise had potential and the acting…
They didn't ? Sure, he stalk her. But nothing in this say it's fine to do that. Quite the opposite for that matter.
- ML's Best Friend said to FL she could report him if she wanted to. It clearly show that his behavior wasn't "normal" even in this circumstance. - She didn't "love" him because she was stalked by him. Nor did he get Brownie points by doing so. - The other "stalkerish side-story" with the man beating his ex was clearly show in the wrong light.
At some point, the morale police should just stop & just watch properly the drama before being upset with everything. And if it's a sensitive topic for you - It could be understandable as everyone have their stories & sensibilities - it just indicate a "you-problem". Not a flaw in the drama itself.
Sooo... I genuinely liked it. Loved the mystery. Loved the ML's Best Friend plot twist. I saw a lot of comment saying it isn't a romance but I strongly disagree. All the story & ML's behavior root from his feeling toward FL. We got a love confession at the peak of the story. Just based on that, it automatically qualified as a romance.
BUT it isn't like the mainstream Romance K-Drama. All the codes - and probably what most peoples like about them - is missing in this one. So I can understand... the disappointment ? They just wanted to narrate a Love Story in a completely different tone and they succeed in that - at being vastly different.
Apart from that, the OST was perfect. But I also did find some "flashback" annoying as they are quite a few minutes long. As the story is already slow paced, it even made the whole thing more sluggish.
Overall, it's a solid 8.5 for me. Mostly based on his originality & the plot. The storytelling could have been better but the overall quality of the production was really great.
Oh god, poor Bua. And Baabin being a savage. Final episode next week. Who will be end game with whom ? Personally, I still have a soft spot for ChianFou. Baabin is "too nice" (well, if not this episode). :P I think the BuaBaabin's ship have sinked but either way, Bua need therapy. He have so much issue with "being loved" that it wouldn't work with someone who isn't 100% focus on him.
Also, I hate feet. I REALLY disliked that scene. xD (I know, it's probably a me problem...)
And the piss thing ? Just, why ? >_< (... But this one was waaay too much, right ? :P)
Did I miss something with Fou4Mod and Faifa?? Everything that happened with that kinda confused me
Well, they got together after he "break up" with Chian. But he soon realized that he didn't like her. So he sabotaged his relationship to force her to break up with him.
She commented on a kissing couple's pic that she would never want her partner to do that - probably the posting online thing - and Fou4Mod just did that on purpose. The meltdown afterward is a bit more obscure. Guilt ? Depress ? Hormone ? :P
I'm still not getting what the ML's deal is, is he autistic or not, like why does the writer not make that more…
He isn't a "realistic" character. They took a personality trait (Colder than a steel bar with STRONG principle & ego) and exaggerated it greatly for entertainment purposes. So no, he isn't on the spectrum. We often see those "Aloof", "Out-of-Human reach", "Defying Common Sense" or "Emotionless Character". They can have many shape & form.
Characters on the spectrum in Media are clearly marketed as such (Like in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo") and are - like any character that have a "strong" personality identity - exaggerated. You wouldn't have any doubt saying: "Oh, he is a sociopath/autistic or have OCD/DID" even before they said anything. I don't say he is any of those, I was just throwing random strong personality traits just to be clear.
I mostly liked. A bit on the cheap side for the SFX but my expectation wasn't that high to begin with (never been the strong spot of Thai Drama). Other than that, I really liked the orchestral OST (Cello <3) as it perfectly fit the vibe.
I expected some dark romance but it seems to be more like a bodyguard romance situation here. But oh well, the pool scene... convinced me. (I know, I'm shallow...)
I don't understand the character of Cui ming yue , in early episodes when some stranger said she is inferior to…
Probably obsession. She keep bringing that "he saved her". Event likes that could trigger a deep affection induced by the Near Death's psychological shook. She also hates to the guts FL. And as FL likes him, it make her want him even more.
But to be honest, she is just a shallow character that don't have much personality to begin with. She's is the typical FL's Love Rival Sub-Villain that writers use as fodder to induce angst, drama & move forward the romance between leads. Don't give to much thought on characters like that, as they didn't give much either. :O
Her mother - in another hand - is more interesting & the main antagonist.
I guess it is not a BL if someone don't break up in the last few episodes. 1000 Stars, Last Twilight, and others…
More like ANY Romance Drama. It became a rule (or a curse) that a Break-up will occur in the last few episodes (and add a Time Skip for most of them). Sometime it does make sense & enhance the drama but some screenwriters just force it even if it doesn't make sense or break their character's personalities.
I really believe that they all learn this in their studies as a Golden Rule that should never be broken. :P
Waouh. The trailer is wild. It's either VERY misleading or they changed the focus of the story. I read the manhwa a while ago (so I remember almost nothing about it :P) and when I saw this on YouTube I was like "Isn't it a BL ?" and got excited. I watched it and started to really doubt myself (I also read a lot of non-BL manhwa). Then I read the comment and discovered I was right.
I really don't know why they would do that... To make people watch it without knowing it's a BL ? It seems very sketchy and will backfire really hard, no ? Or they really switched the focus of this story to a straight couple ? Or just to make viral marketing over this "controversy" ? I guess we will see but damn, who think it was a good idea ?
"I'm sorry... could you take it easy on me" I'm actually crying 😭😭 someone wake me up when the angst ends,…
The reveal was a drop I think. In the preview, her bitchy senior seems to have snitched on them (with or without proof) in the company forum. And of course, everyone talk shit about the woman and not really the man in the relationship. And OF COURSE Grandma is still this insufferable human being that want to make her only grandson suffer like it's normal behavior. :x
Wait, what, the FL doesn't know he's the 7th prince? How can she not know? In their previous life they were married…
Don't know about the novel, but in the drama once her first husband died, she was picked up by ML in the "wild" and they lived in the frontier between the two nations. Most likely the location where ML lead the Red Plume Army in the current story. So yeah, she had no idea he was a royal.
Wei Zhi is a cute character from a well-off family. That's explain the voice.Shuxin is a dubber. She dubbed Gwen…
I get what you mean, her drama always have the same bashing over her voice & acting style. But the reason it always happen, it's because she fully embrace the "cute style" to the extreme. So it make her acting style really polarizing. You love it or hate it, no in between.
So yeah, peoples who hate that style will just come here to bash her and peoples who love that style will defend her like it's their own daughter. EVERY SINGLE TIME. :P
And I don't want to be that guy but the way that controversy was revealed make thing even more out of control. The girl unalive herself on his birthday. And it was the catalyst of this shitstorm.
