I kind of know how that plot is going to end. We know she was switched and Pei is the true 5th prince. I think…
The thing is... it's a historical drama. And they tend to be at least a bit historically accurate. I'm all for a woman being the Empress but... It's really not that common (I know for sure that at least one existed in ancient china but it's not her). So yeah, I don't hold my breath as to the fact that her being a woman will be know by all - IF she stay on the throne.

Like most Emperor/Empress story, they all bail on their duty to live a "normal" life in drama (to avoid being historically inaccurate even if it doesn't make any sense). The issue here is I don't see a suitable substitute. I think one of the prince is still alive but we didn't see him for quite a long time now.

Every bad drama deserves criticism And yes this drama deserves the negativity People are not settling for less…
My whole point is that it's not a bad drama and doesn't deserve the hate. I really don't understand where this is coming from to be honest. :)

I don't really understand the hate in the comment. It's sure not a masterpiece but damn, peoples seems to nitpick on EVERYTHING here for no apparent reason. For peoples that have cold feet after reading the comment, just try it. Maybe I'm the odd one, but this drama doesn't deserve the constant negativity I seen here.

The show did a really poor job establishing the leads NON sibling relationship enough before they are made to…
I don't know where the confusion come from. FL was in love with him but he never was. Sure he had affection for her, but like you said, it was just a childhood connection. And if he had, he just buried so deeply - because he didn't want anyone to share is thorny fate - that it doesn't matter. Now that he is forced to live H24 with her because she has become his "sister", he is starting to catch real feeling - or forced to confront his previous denial.

I can't blame writers here. Viewers really don't go beyond surface level and need everything to be told to them. It's not even on the level of reading between the line as he said himself multiple time. :o

He is a pig in human clothing. The typical second rate villain that his writen as the most obnoxious character. He did a LOT of horrible thing that include blackmailing a girl with the life of her brother to have sex with her. You get the picture. :)

It seems incredibly, blindingly obvious that Nakan is not the villain of the story - Thara is, and Nakan is trying…
Yeah. Thara is sus. But tbh, I don't think Nakan is a "good guy" at all.

- Thara probably want to save her life. She is dying apparently and probably think the golden blood can save her. Don't know why she doesn't take it directly now but it's probably because of the "21y old timer" that she talked about. She said he will not have any issue after that deadline but I don't think saw... It's too... convenient ? :P

- As for Nakan, we saw him feed on & kill humans like he doesn't care. They wouldn't have done that if he was a "hidden" good guy. Or even a grey character. As for why he said his plan all along with the Trojan Horse ? It's a running meme that villains always make grand monologue about their plans in front of the good guys. It's dumb as fuck but writers loves this apparently.

Another point: It said here that it's adapted from "Who Can Define Popularity?" by Tak Bon but as far as I know, this have nothing to do with this webtoon. Am I missing something or is it a subplot from this webtoon or bonus part ? I really can't remember this part in this webtoon (but I do acknowledge that I don't fully trust my memory).

This one is truly frustrating. I cannot empathize with either of them. He should make it absolutely clear that he loves the guy. It will end all the madness he is inflicting on himself. Clearly he doesn't value their friendship anymore - as he want to cut tie with him - so he have literally nothing to lose. As for the others guy, I don't know if he is truly clueless or he just doesn't want to face reality because he doesn't like romantically his friend. I cannot believe someone could be that clueless and the later is a bit cruel.

Either way, the only problem is that they don't talk about what matter and it has been 5 episodes of this. I already lost interest tbh but the worst part is that I'm 100% sure they will stretch that until the final episode when a simple: "I like you romantically. Do you like me ?" could have solve this from the beginning - but I guess they didn't have any others ideas for this drama so it would have been a one or two episode drama. But stretching this 8 episode is just madness. :x

I think it's not necessarily to cut with ALL in-laws. Surely just cut ties with the criminal father-in-law & stockholder…
Depend on the family. If they were nothing but toxicity & trouble, you need to cut them off. Will it be painful ? Sure but the amount of negative energy you gather just to try to keep them around isn't worth it. Here ? The father obviously have serious issue with money. He can still be a lovable father to her but he is still bad influence to her. He was convicted but still did it again. We can believe she tried to help him but he didn't want to change. Time to move on at this point.

Lastly, the family of choice (partner & friend) - for me - are just superior to any family by blood. I hope she did make that decision with the same mind set.

They were switched when they were infants. The father of one took over by force the kingdom of the other
Basically, the FL isn't the fifth prince, he was. And ML wasn't the "lost prince" of the previous era, FL was that princess. So no, they are not related at all. They just switched their royal identity.

Pretty good. My favorite was the second one (Time Loop) but the third one was also very strong. I don't like tragedy in long length drama as I'm too attached to characters at this point that I cannot having them have such ending. So this very short format is perfect for me, I get the feel but not the trauma (like I did with "Mr. Plankton" recently).

Anyway, It's on youtube & it's free so if you hesitate to watch this, don't. You will lose nothing even if you end up disliking it. :P

I knows that people ship FL with SML and that ML avoid FL, but i think ML also is really good, he saved FL since…
I don't get it either. And it would be HELLA weird if it would make a move on her "sister". Like the scene where he was behind her and helped with her calligraphy, was I the only one thinking "No way in hell siblings would do that naturally!". I would have smacked my brother in the face to be honest. xD

I never understood the appeal of the straight couple. They didn't look adorable to me, they looked like a disaster…
As a character, I didn't have issue with Jiyu. She was fun and interesting. She also was actively positive in the main lead relationship & development.

In another hand, Chanyeong fall very short in that regard. His issue with his dad & tennis were... very badly written to say the least. Boring & unimaginative. He was never truly part of the Main Leads plotline. Basically, he was like a direct spin off in the actual drama as he took a good chunk of the screen time but was never introduced into the main plot line. And again, the romance between the two could be called cute but it was also very dull and very generic.

You're not wrong...however, you have to take into account a few things.1) high school kids everywhere are very…
Well, Christianity sure wasn't friendly with the LGBT community but in the case of SK, it's more about their old Confucian PoV. It's also why this country is still very sexist (patriarchy is quite heavy in Confucian value even more than Christianity to be honest).

As far as I known Confucian tolerate homosexuality BUT same sex marriage is a BIG NO NO. But this is essential for the queer community to be accepted in any countries and unfortunately, SK seems REALLY not ready to change their view on same sex marriage any time soon.

It isn't that rare anymore. They even have (skipped) bed scene now. Recently, the side couple on "The Potato Lab" had that for exemple (Kiss & Bed scene). "The Divorce Assurance" have two side couple and I do think at least one of them will kiss in the end.

The moment FL invited him on her pyjama party he had become one of her "girl". He isn't just friendzoned. He is not even considered a man at this point. :P
