I read a fair bit of BL manhwa and this one wasn't the one I would have expected to be adapted to be honest. It's messy & the MC make it VERY hard to root for him. I really don't know why they choose this one over many MANY more interesting one but I guess peoples who were fan of the OG work would love that. Or peoples who never read the OG work.
But nah, it's just a big NO for me as I'm still frustrated with this story. I don't want to suffer AGAIN. :P
Nope doesn't look like it. Looks more like she's cursed or unlucky (assuming anything supernatural is happening…
I don't think anyone can be THAT unlucky. It affect only boys so it's already odd by itself but it also happen right after a encounter with her ? Nah, she is really cursed. But I'm very invested at how ML will try to solve her "curse". :D
Who is rooting for Elder Tu and Sovereign Wei to have a HE ? I don't know, clumsy & awkward Wei start to become more & more likeable even if I still want to slap him from time to time. x)
But I really don't hold my breath as I'm 100% sure that at least one of them will die... Still hope the baby will survive.
Blood spat…so many, everybody blood spat. lol.In ep 28, really love how MQG/XRR’s confession to SYS and her…
Yeah, it's in every Wuxia (like Kopiko in K-Drama). I hope it's strawberry flavored or it became tasteless overtime because damn I used one time this prop a long time ago and the taste was super nasty... x)
It's funny but actually tragic how much they dislike consent in Chinese dramas, EP 23 and so far all kisses weren't…
They are more borderline. The drunk kiss was welcomed at first, until he said it was for Quigge. And the second wasn't a "romantic" kiss but a way to give him her own energy. You could argue that it's just an excuse to make them kiss and you would be right. But I don't really saw that as a sexual assault as it as nothing to do with our modern PoV to begin with.
In another hand, consent really isn't in this drama to begin with. They forced the Master-Disciple relationship twice. They have literally a device to make them obey any order they could give to their disciple. She was "enchanted" once and pounced on him. Another time, he was also "enchanted" to listen - again - any order she would give. And now, she is forced to marry Crazy Prince. :P
So my point, don't seek Human Right in Wuxia/Period Drama. Just enjoy the ride if you can. :)
Guys, the old dude that Crazy Fan met was this the old dude following the Elder Prince or I'm remembering wrong ? If he wasn't him, who is this guy ? :O
I'm not sure if foreigners can notice this because they always talk in Gen Z slang in Thai, but the dialogue in…
Hmm... Don't know about your teenage years but to me this make me feel really nostalgic. We always overdo it to appear cooler. Here, my personal experience really resonate with their "sticker mania" or any thing that could made us "stand out" more. Also, the slang thing, I remember being really awkward & "forced" as I tried to use them when I was younger. I was a awkward kid. :x
I don't know, this whole thing really resonate with my own teenage years for some reason. Also it help that they don't have "deep talk" about heavy subject like they studied philosophy for 5 years or they don't have some heavy trauma & family drama for once.
For the director's intention, my guess is the complete opposite of your feedback as to me he wanted to make it as natural as possible. Like he was just stalking some teenager living their "boring" teenage life. It's not heavily scripted or drama coded. And the way they film like they are in the middle of a "true" big city with all those peoples in the background living their own life add to that feel. It's almost like a French movie to be honest. ^^'
I liked it but I didn't love it. First of all, loved the ML's Brother plot line. The actor was fantastic. Too bad it was just a side story. I would have seriously loved if it was the main plot and see a different ending for him.
The first couple was entertaining to watch and their healing journey was well made. For the romance part... I did feel some awkwardness with their intimate scenes but their emotional scenes were good enough (the latter matter more to me so I'm fine with it).
BUT the second couple really made me mad sometime. Especially the SFL. And the SML's family plot line was very lackluster as I hoped at will had more impact on their storyline but nah, they were just background assholes (to make him more pitiful ? Idk). Overall, their story was going in circle again and again without going nowhere until it end for some closure.
Bad subtitles are kind of spoiling this one for me. I have to set it aside for later.
Yeah, I've seen the first two and it was decent but with the 3nd the quality dropped. I'm not really complaining as it was fan made - it's already great that someone picked up and not just machine translated the whole thing - but as a non native English speaker it's too uncomfortable to enjoy the drama.
Maybe someday it will be localized but I don't really hold my breath. ^^"
Are you kidding me what is with force feeding bloody food????!!! Purpose anyone?
Shock therapy ? ^^'
He has 3 months to take over the business but he is badly traumatized to all things related to Death & Blood. So he needs to overcame that quickly. They will need a REALLY good reason as to why he absolutely need to take over (other that "it's his responsibility") because it seems really hardcore.
My wild guess is that his half-brother (?) is dying. Other than that... I don't really get it as "filial piety" seems kind of weak reason.
Personally, I'm not into this idol thing in any format whether it be a reality show or a boyband, nor can I relate…
Yeah, me too I never been in any "fandom". When I love a song, a music band or a singer it's only for theirs music they produce (well, except if they rape someone for example). But as I understand how this "idol" industry works, they don't "sell" only music but a whole "Idol - Fan" relationship - whatever it mean - and target mostly very young girls. So yeah, this type of reaction will still appear as they are literally marketed that way & their targets isn't the most "mature" I would say (respectfully).
Anyway, Idol/Star Drama always have this plotline where they fall in love and their fans went crazy forcing a break up. And it's been quite a while they doing that so I guess it's still a problem even now ? Like I said, I'm really involve in those "scandal" so I don't know if it got better nowadays.
Well, I have some mix feeling about this one. But overall I liked it.
+ The first part where they courted their "Hitmans" and be quite silly about it was the most entertaining part for me. + A lot of silliness overall that made me laugh & feel good. + Their romances were cute and for the first time I could end a show with JoongDunk. + Some emotional scene were really good but...
- with all the silliness some were really a miss. It was hard to take them seriously sometime. - The whole "Hitmans" plot expecially the Mum part were so badly written and full of nonsense (don't even start with the last scene of their "Mom" as I want that to be a fever dream that never existed to begin with).
Well, the first few episode were a fun watch. Just one thing, their are both smart MC but I didn't expect both of them to be that weak to good looking people as so far all their "romantic moment" are mainly focused at how beautiful & handsome they are. ^^'
Well, I cried (not because it was sad) a lot in the last few episodes (the lost brother... Y_Y) that I believe I will still be emotional for a week. "Perfect Match" I will miss you. :D
Worst Mom? Yes, but the dad just sitting there saying forget everything because it was in the past would have…
Yeah she was so badly written here that her character doesn't make any sense.
First of all, I can view children having "favorite" between their parent but Yotha doesn't seem to be one to forget his family because he would be "so happy with her mom" to the point of not wanting to see them ever again. Like, where does that come from ? And even then, you REALLY need an excuse to see your OWN children ?
It's so far from what I learned that I just can't understand the logic behind it. And I don't want to assume it's a "Thai Cultural" difference. I prefer blaming crappy writing. x)
And second, the grudge wasn't really that she choose his brother - he sure did hurt him but it wasn't why he hated her - but for "abandoning" his brother once she had a new family. I guess he was probably "too happy" now, she needed him to go back as we can have that here, right ?
I'm exaggerating on purpose but damn, I cannot grasp how they come up with this BS reason and "excuse" to make her "forgivable".
it’s because most people can’t get over the blatant stalking ngl. in ep 6 he states he’s not actually from…
He isn't a stalker. ^^'
Sure thing he choose his university because of him and probably watched him from a far but all the personal data he got was from the dream of the "parallel world" he had when he was in coma.
The only thing that hinted that he was involved in his life before was when Phu talked about a "Guardian Angel" that helped him when he was in need. But it's just a guess for now.
But nah, it's just a big NO for me as I'm still frustrated with this story. I don't want to suffer AGAIN. :P
