Ohh I totally get that 'Last Struggle' comment! I hate unnecessary conflicts they add at the end when the drama…
If you mean when they meat each others IRL, I don't remember exactly, but it should be pretty soon if you are at episode 6. I kind of remember they miss each other 3 times: At the university, at the restaurant & a 3nd time that I don't remember. I could be wrong.
I think Jumper already has a boyfriend. Anyone had the same impression?
I assumed it was those "motorbike taxi" that are always here in Thai drama (and probably Thailand but I've never been there :P). But yeah, I didn't understand why he was smirking that much. Well the boyfriend theory still doesn't explain why... :/
I really don't trust the rating here... I saw the trailer and I wasn't really hooked so I wasn't interested at watching it. But 8.7 is really high so I got intrigued and curious. Then I saw comments below and I don't see how it could get that high. So I will just wait a few more episode before trying. :o
If anything, peoples who really enjoy it and do believe that the rating is merited could point out why it's "this good" after 1 episode ?
Ok so i just finished episode one and have some questions ( ok many but i know this series is not to be taken…
1) Each vampire have a counterpart. We don't really have much info but based at how it was the case about Poom I think it just take the most "compatible" human being alive when the vampire is "born". They just used the same actor because it's convenient but I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a 100% carbon copy of the physical appearance of the vampire. That or Poom somewhat get a random twin/clone out of nowhere if it ease your mind.
2) 100 vampire years = 3 humans year. Meaning it's only been 9y since the real Poom "died" as a human.
3) No. You will see (if not already) who kill Poom at episode 2 or 3.
Wow the FL really had him holding that heavy stage prop for almost 2 mins, that was so dumb a out of character…
It's like every scene with a "dying" protagonist. They doesn't need to make perfect sense, it's just for the throwing punch line and last good bye. :P
But for the second one, it wouldn't matter. I don't think he can "stay" in the past infinitely and he would come back in a burning school and probably under rubble. It's probably why it didn't try but the main reason is still that they wanted a touching scene with punch lines. :D
Don't get your hope up. "Season 2 topic" are most likely just clickbait. Nothing from official source indicate…
I wouldn't call that a cliffhanger as everything is resolved. Sure thing they could expend with more detail at how everything unfolded but it would make every ending a cliffhanger based on this logic.
The concept used here is different , at first the goal was to save the FL but he saved himself, the FL saved the…
He doesn't change the past. The past is set in stone with the decision he already made in the future with his power. It's kind of a loop. It's hard to get a grasp of the logic here so you don't need to overthinking it if you can't. Like the question at what was the first, the egg and the chicken type of thing.
It's not "overrated". You didn't like it as much as others and it's totally fine. It's also why it "only" get…
You missed my point. You have the right to feel that "it was very lackluster with too many storyline gaps, filler scenes and disturbing storytelling", it's your personal opinion and you can give any rating you want. After that, the consensus in MDL is that this show deserve a 8.5 based on MDL's users opinions that bothered to rate this one.
You are just one of the few that really didn't appreciate this show.
It's not "overrated". You didn't like it as much as others and it's totally fine. It's also why it "only" get 8.5 because if everyone liked it it would be much closer to 10, don't you think so ? ^^
What a filler of an episode. How long are we going to just be spinning our wheels here? And can we finally please…
God I think I'm blessed with poor observation skills. xD
Because -again- I didn't see any of that. It was the same mess with others shows I have seen recently (My Love Mix-Up "cinematography & light" and Only Boo "changing hair cut" for example).
So yeah, all those little detail going right upside my head, I'm totally fine with that. I'm just here enjoying those shows innocently without a care. :P
if he could bring things from past does this mean the son can bring back the ex wife back? in ha would want her…
The body of Gwi-Ju was never found because he was saved by his future son. He never died in the first place. They share a deep connection, so it's probably why it was possible.
I mean, the ML disappeared and the son found him, HOW? why did they make a hole on the script, it would have been…
His power is to find lost thing and bring them back to him, like a summon. He lost his ball yesterday and summoned it. Do Da-Hae said she lost her father, the kid just summoned him when he was lost 18y ago when he saved teenager Do Da-Hae before the lab blew up. I found this quite lovely. :)
Sadly i didn't like the end. Letting aside the five minutes reunion trope (I didn't love this either) there is…
For the son's power: I don't think we can really understand how it works completely but to me it works this way. His power is to find "lost thing" and bring them back to his present self. So it find is dad when he was "lost", 18y ago when he save teenager Do Da-Hae just before the lab blew up. Seeing him completely fine, I don't think he went to the past per se. More like a summon ?
It's also why Gwi-Joo "disappeared". For him, being with his son his like it was yesterday when he saved Do Da-Hae. Time travel logic here.
Really loved it! It was such a unique story with lot of twist & lovable grey characters. I personally really like Do Da-Hae, Bok Gwi-Ju, the ML's Sister, FL's Sister & Uncle and Bok I-Na. They are flawed but in a lovely manner.
Not everything was perfect of course. If I would point something, for me it was the romance between FL & ML. It was good but... it missed something somehow. I cannot really explain. Maybe the main plot overshadowed too much the romance ? I was really captivated by the plot that the romance seemed a bit... lackluster even if it was good ? It doesn't make sense even for me, but it's what I felt.
And maybe it's because I'm greedy but I wanted more. I wanted to fully explore the backstory of their family's power. Even the story of the scammer family. Who was Grace and where did she come from ? How did they "adopted" her ? Same with the Uncle. Even the mum story and her lost daughter. I also wanted to see more about the relationship between ML's Sister and FL's Uncle that was hinted near the end. I wanted to know more about how I-Na evolved in the last 5 years. Even some life moment of No-Ri. And lastly, a full episode of fluffy moments when ML come back. Yes, I'm that greedy.
Nonetheless, the ending is still one of the most beautiful I've seen. I really didn't expect that. Overall, this show will linger in my mind. 9/10
that's the problem lot of ppl giving the easy pass because it's BL. we seriously are in need ofqueer content that…
All of that is somewhat related to the budget they can alloy to such projects. BL content will always have inferior budget because it's more niche.
It can still evolve in the future with bigger and bigger one (like it did happen in the last few years) but they could never reach "traditional" projects for obvious reasons. It's a reality that need to be acknowledged.
So no, I don't see as a problem to have "pink googles" and having lower expectation when it come to them. That just my opinion.
It was good. I didn't know we had so many expert in cinematography here. Personally, I didn't catch on any of their claims before reading this here. I'm probably just that easy when it come to BL. I liked the vibes, both actor are cute, the storyline will be good because it's an adaptation of a manga I liked, so I already know I will enjoy myself. :D
Anyway, my expectation is now really low in term of story and acting. I guess it will be like watching actual cute puppy being silly. :)
