I knew it that when the ratings of this drama go up here on MDL the question will be.. "why is it rated so high"First…
To be fair, this one deserve it so far. Nothing new on Dramaland (Romance, Chaebol, conspiracy) but it's really well made. Good balance between Melo/Romance/Comedy/Suspense with good pacing, actors and writing.
I'm pretty sure that this club don't offer what you are referring. Wela himself said he was glad to have find…
I guess I wasn't clear enough. Nothing you are saying his fundamentally wrong but it isn't the best place for it (comment section of MDL) or those shows aren't the best support (BL drama) to bring those debates ? I'm not here to stop you or anything -It's your time and your right to do so- I just find it a bit of a shame to use low impact "tools" when I can see that you are motivated, that all.
I'm pretty sure that this club don't offer what you are referring. Wela himself said he was glad to have find…
If you expect viewer to be some kind of activist, you are deluding yourself. Those show aren't made for this purpose even if they do speak about sensible topic and try to deliver some positive messages. They are mostly here for money and entertainment. I'm not saying it doesn't help at all, but their impact is quite low. So I'm not sure you choose the right battle here. And while I do agree that some really believe that Drama = Reality, most of them aren't THAT naive to actually think that the world is as "pink" as how it's described in those shows. But like I said, they are just here to enjoy their time and relieve their stress.
For the France's Law, it isn't just with minor. The sanction are even harsher when it's with a minor or someone in a position of vulnerability. Minor are view as in "position of vulnerability" so it's why they aren't treated like "major" (18+) even if the age of consent is lower (15+). But using the service of an adult prostitute is also illegal.
I really wonder how this mess with Seji/Ken/Pan will end. Not great if I would take a guess because I'm not even sure that anyone in this triangle will finish with someone. ^^'
I wonder: When a client pays to have sex (it doesn't have to involve penetration to be sex) with a prostitute,…
I'm pretty sure that this club don't offer what you are referring. Wela himself said he was glad to have find this club that do not permit such practice. For as to why he does that, her mom did tell to Khem that she pity her son that need to work because they need the money to keep their house. It wasn't precised why, but with a missing dad we can have bold guess (old medical bill, gambling debt, etc).
That being said, depending on the legislation of the country escorting or being a host can be view as prostitution as well. I'm certainly not aware at how it works in Thailand but in my country (France) it's legal to be a prostitute/escort. BUT, it's illegal to use their service or incite someone to prostitute himself. That mean, the law only target clients and the organization that are behind them (if they are not working on their own).
Cute and Funny without being Cringe. I really liked the first two episode when the Preview really didn't give me a good feeling. I'm glad I still tried to watch it!
This show is kinda frustrating. The story is good but the execution is a bit lacking! So many jump between scene and some happen out of nowhere. And then we have a flashback of two whole minutes when 15s should have been largely enough.
I will keep watching it because like I said, the story is good but it's why it's even more frustrating. :P
Well I don't mind but I wouldn't be the fastest. Some are really quick and you will have your answer even before you ask for it when it will be available. ^^ But like I said, you don't have to worry, it will be a happy ending for sure.
While Achi was in the wrong, the way both acted in modern days made me believe Ji was one-sidedly wronged. But no, Ji was also responsible for a big part and I'm pretty sure it will never be truly acknowledged. Well, ML are always some sort of doormat for their MC. I guess it's their fates. :P
Good episode but with that sort of plot I'm a bit worry about the ending. I like Happy Ending but here with them being truly in completely different world, I don't see them being together. Oh I'm sure that they will somewhat be happy at the end but not in a fulfilling way for my own taste. But I still hope they could travel between world and I just overact here. I'm still "traumatize" with this sort of story I guess. :P
-The stalker side story: He is portrayed as a monster but isn't FL stalked ML for quite some time ?
-ML is a asshole in the beginner and is still is at the end. Calling your loved one "Stupid" as an endearing surname isn't a thing I want to see. I know it's supposed to be "cute" but it didn't really use it in this manner for most of the time and FL being fine with it irked me a bit.
-But then ML suddenly fallen for her. He wasn't demonstrative and mostly a ice cube (being the asshole he is) but still, at some "random" point they were together. Just like that and even the FL didn't believe at first. And for what reason did he fall ? Ah yes, she was cute. That's all. But to be honest I don't know why she loved him in the first place. Ah yes again! He was cool. So yeah, it isn't really deep.
-I had no attachment whatsoever in the story between Ryoko & Nishi and even less for Dr. Kisugi & Sakai. Not much screentime and the few they had didn't work on me.
-The dead ex-girlfriend's doppelgänger was completely unnecessary especially in the way she was portrayed. I don't know why they made her "fall in love" with ML. It's creepy and the way she was doing it was even worst.
Despite all of that, I still smiled while watching it and enjoyed it... And I DON'T KNOW WHY! xD
Me either, his comment about him choosing his future while taejoon chose the past rubbed me the wrong way. They…
It was more clear in the manhwa but the main reason of Teajoon's suicide is his illness (depressed) and everyone is in the "know" except Se Heon. It's also why nobody blame each others or Sejin isn't crippled with guilt, except of course for Se Heon who didn't know (it's why he did break up in the first place).
It was just ok for me, I didn't feel any chemistry between the MLs and I didn't like Kim Jin Kwon's acting, which…
For the dead fish kiss, it's not unusual when they play teenager characters. Korea is still conservative in some regard. It isn't an absolute rule but it's often the main reason. And here is the prime example because when they were adult we had a proper kiss.
Like I can't even remember a Korean Drama that had a "sex scene" with teenager characters. They are already rare when they are adult to be honest and most of the time, they are lackluster I would say ? Well, nothing like we have in western media.
Not that I want them to reach our "level" but it's sometime ridiculous how they portrait sensuality and sexuality in their Drama. :P
When will they increase the run time and episode number for bl
While I would like that, it's just not possible yet. It's all about the money and it's true that BL don't have as much viewer as regular Drama so they need to cut the budget when they make a BL. For example compared to the Thai industry, everything is cheaper there so it's why they can do longer one.
Yeah I called it, in the preview from ep. 7 they will go the jealousy troop for Qian to admit his feeling. But I'm wondering if they will actually use San Pang for it (we saw Yuan being extremely kind to him with Honey Water) . It could be fun especially if the relationship between him and the sister get exposed in the process too. "Like no, Best Friend, I'm not into your Little Bro' but your Little Sis' !" :P
But I guess it will still too early to made that much progress in ep. 8 with 5 ep. left.
It was good. The final song was great and it come from someone who is literally allergic to Jazz mostly because I can't handle brass instruments so I did liked the "remix". A bit disappointed that we didn't had a proper epilogue for the second "couple" even if it stayed platonic I wouldn't have minded.
A lot of gay panic. All the couple had one of them backing off because of the sudden realization of their feeling for a guy even if it's unclear for the second one. I recall having read the manhwa but my memory are fussy. Maybe I'm confused with another manhwa but I can almost recall that Joo Ha's father was extremely homophobic and it was why he reacted that way in the first place. But again, I could be totally wrong...
The robot storyline didn’t make sense robot sweat, cry how is it possible they should learn from kdrama how they…
It's sci-fi. The whole robot having actual feeling for an human (and the human love him back) didn't bother you but him be able to sweat and cry is the limit you fixed yourself ? Weird. It's like saying being ok with Magic in a fantasy setting but mystical creature like Dragons are too unrealistic to be in the same story.
Same feeling. It's a bit jumpy from time to time especially the last part of ep. 3 where I did believed it was a flashback or a dream from Phupha at first (a bit blurry on the edge and was the exact same scene from the previous world) but no, it wasn't.
Many thing happen in the same time like it's rushed a bit. For the acting, I don't think Nat is that bad but to be honest I do think that most Thai actors don't act really well to begin with. They aren't bad but I think it's mostly their type of acting (a bit overacted ?) + the language barrier that make me think that way. Each country have their own way so it's hard to say if they act well or not.
Overall, I do like this show mostly because the story itself is interesting and even if it's a bit confusing it isn't to the point to be a deal breaker for me.
