She is evil, while it might’ve seemed that she was doing it to protect her son, Ming Yi”s mother had just died in childbirth, her aunt was grieving and I’m sure she was her father. Yet the empress chose to take an infant away from her grieving family members, forcing them to also lose a child. I’m sure she gave her son to Bo Yu Lan to raise, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she expected everyone to be fine with her, using her power and influence to take their family and be OK with it.

Also it appears like she never once checked up on her son ever? If she had, she would’ve found out from Bo Yu Lan that he was missing? She then could’ve worked with the Jingxi Abyss emperor to train locate him? Although it appears she never looked for him at all. Honestly, she also didn’t treat her adoptive daughter very well either and was abusive to her never really loved her and only ever taught her that her worth came from being useful to her empire. That she had to lie to everyone around her since the disguise of being a boy was placed on her at birth.

I also agree she literally told him she only thought of him as a friend and even at one point although the way I think it’s just how oblivious she is the comment to him how he’d always viewed her as a big sister and she’d always viewed him as a little brother or something along those lines I was like girlfriend 🤦🏻‍♀️😅😅😅.

I have to disagree, I think the leads also actually are very realistic, interactions, and behaviours. They both show how someone who grew up in abusive background. Have their behaviours shaped as well.

Yup, I think it’s funny because everybody is like oh he just helps her without expecting anything in return and I’m like he does expect something in return. He expects her to develop feelings for him lol

I don’t personally think this is one of the dramas that you could miss episodes on without missing information lol. The only drama I’ve ever done that on is shadow love and that’s literally because and his amnesia arc. They literally played house until like episode 25.

Seemed like preview of next episode the way she phrased the question after he was born was that she feared he wouldn’t survive in the palace with no spiritual veins. The thing is though is I feel that if she felt he wouldn’t survive then she shouldn’t have taken away Bo Yu LANs neice. Since her sister had just died in childbirth, and her niece was the only family she had left? Yeah if you really felt guilty remorse at having to send your own child away you wouldn’t inflict that on somebody else who is also grieving the loss of her sister, not to mention the father as well. So while it might’ve been phrase, as if she felt bad I don’t think she does. Since you know, she could’ve made an effort to check up on her son and try to find out where he was or contact Bill to see if she was actually looking after him instead of just leaving it? Lol

Yes, because the male lead was born without spiritual veins, and the Empress only cares about power and strength. So she swapped him with Ming Yi whose mother Bo Yu. Chen had just died in childbirth, and she had exceptionally strong spiritual veins.

I honestly expected even for myself as a viewer to recognize that the symbol was similar to the empress and then I was like I don’t recognize that symbol at all lol

I knew what you meant 😁. I’m kind of interested now with the preview for tomorrow’s episode. We finally find out that. Ming Yi is the daughter of. Bo Yu Chen? And master She. We see JZB talking to Master she about it and confirming that she is his daughter. Does that mean that JZB is also going to find out his birth rate at the same time? Because I feel that he can’t talk about her, not being the empress‘s child without confirming that the empress’s son was sent away with Bo Yu Lan?
