Not justifying what Lian said as there is no excuse especially with the lame reason he gave in the show. He actually said it in anger after finding out that Kuea was lying to him. He never stopped loving him. I also don't approve of him manipulating him into moving in with him.
To be fair what he is doing is approved by Kuea's parents so he is not the only one who is keeping him in the dark, so in this case can't just blame him .
Everyone places all this blame on Lian but Kuea isn't innocent either since he is lying to Lian and his parents about who he really is and trying to manipulate them into believing he is someone he is not.
Yes they need to have way better communication and we have seen strides in the latest episode, if their relationship was perfect we wouldn't have a show 😊.

I don't think it addresses it to much In the show but the reason they were ok with it because of the grandfather had a male partner. Also Lian's family was very close to Kuea's family. I it's an interesting twist to be honest. I don't think it happens as much now but there was a practice in some Asian countries for families to kidnap a young female or male child from another family and then raise them together with the intention that they would marry eventually.
