Aside from loving the story and the characters relationships and growth, the fashion was fabulous. it was like a character of its own. The styles and attention to details was so interesting, especially the handmade craftsmanship from small villages. Sometimes I had to rewind just to see the beautiful creations in so many scenes. They couldn’t have chosen a better model for them than the amazing Zhao Lisi to showcase them. Her elegance and soft demeanor was so captivating. I wonder how many outfits she wore for this drama! It must be staggering! Her sister also showed such growth through her renewed relationship with her sister and those around her. Her fashion changed along with personal growth. Even their parents showed realistic change and acceptance. There are always things people can complain about in a drama, but for me this was a 10.

I agree with your review. I was pleasantly surprised that they solved certain conflicts behind the scenes and we didn’t have to fast forward through boring details. I thoroughly enjoyed this drama and will definitely miss it!

I am concerned that her sisters ex may have some ulterior motive. His 180 degree turn around from a controlling jerk in a short time is not realistic. His acceptance of her new boyfriend doesn’t feel real. I’m concerned that he has something up his sleeve to hurt her or the business.

No problem, I’m not offended. I know a lot of people who post get defensive when you correct them. We all make mistakes. Yes, many reveals today. I like shows that move along quickly. This one is pretty good.

I’ve been thinking that there’s no way she can end up with Se Hun-between the lies and her biological mother being his step mom. Also, I don’t think she has any real feelings for him. On the other hand, Ha Neul does have feelings for her and they seem like a much better match. She seems at ease with him and he has even met her parents as her “fiance”. I almost wonder if the Kong Nan Sok is his biological mother-maybe that’s why she has his father killed and blamed it on her father. As for the real Young Chae, I really dislike her (and her awful mother). She’s a spoiled, dishonest, privileged girl who stole her friends talent to get ahead. She’s even worse than Jeong Won who at least I can understand her reason for initially lying, although she should not have taken it that far. In sure there will be plenty of twists and turns ahead to keep us guessing.

With 88 episodes to go I can’t imagine where they’re going to go with this! I didn’t expect her to return so soon!

Thanks for your reply. I think what I would hope to see in the final episodes is for Shen Haoming to drop his guard and relax and be honest with Yan. I think he has tried to be the son that he thinks his father expects. He needs to be totally honest about his original deception toward Yan as well as his sincere love for her. He needs to be more agressive in his pursuit of her and when she turns away, he needs to run after her. In many of the recent episodes he watched her walk away and was too proud to go after her. I found myself shouting at him! I also think he needs to take responsibility for his son and reveal he is his father even if it means bombing his career. He should be willing to give up his professional success and even start over like Yan did and be true to his feelings. Maybe he should start a business cultivating the agave plants. that was the only time that he really seemed happy in his work. He really doesn’t seem happy in the family business and just goes through the motions like a robot. What would you like to see happen?

I usually know who I am rooting for in a drama. I don’t really know who I want to win in this one. My favorite character right now is Joo Ha Neul. even though he’s keeping her secret, he is my favorite character. Jeong Won has no idea that he has liked her for so long and she could have had the upper class life she wanted in an honest relationship. Her relationship built on lies will eventually collapse and not allow her to have an honest one with Ha Neul.

Your detailed review is excellent and spot on. Zhao Lusi certainly carries this drama and even though I am a fan of William Chan, his one dimensional stoic persona could have been played by other actors as well. He is similar to the role he played in A date with the Future. That aside, it’s ok for me to overlook this since he is so nice to look at! Yes, the styling and wardrobe may have been the best and most diverse I’ve seen in a drama. Adding to that, her business delves into the fashion industry and the really life problem of cheap, internet counterfeit goods. This really is a high value production in every aspect: Story, depth, realism, individual growth and interpersonal relationships. I also have enjoyed watching the sisters find each other again and rebuild a relationship that was fractured by abusive, selfish, neglectful and ignorant parents. Even her sisters boyfriend has shown personal growth. there are only 7 episodes left ands I will be sorry when it’s over.

Great post and responses. One thing i am sure of is that this drama has a lot of us thinking more complexly than most of the dramas we watch. For a daily, 100 episode drama, this one is a gem. I hope they can keep up this quality throughout.
