I enjoyed this one. It was a unique story. It started off a bit confusing and picked up as it went along. He’s one of my favorite actors. If you’re a fan I recommend you watch him in the movie Obsessed! This man does not age. The only thing missing was a kiss at the end. Otherwise it was a satisfying ending.
give LEE CHAE MIN that best actor award, he did so well and there's only two episodes left!
It’s hard to believe he’s the same actor I recently watched in Crushology. It shows you the difference a really good script makes for a talented actor!
I have a feeling that when she returns to present time she will have a cooking competition with a present day chef who looks like the Ming head chef. I’ve seen him in other dramas. He can look very different. He usually plays a bad guy.
Alright. So... the curtains have closed. We've finally reached the end of this wild, twisted soap opera. You know,…
I loved all your comments. Everyone brings something to this conversation and makes me realize something I haven’t thought of before. You brought up the topic of nature versus nurture, which was very observant that hadn’t really hit me. The ability of the writers to turn a purely evil character into one that we pity and almost cheered for in the end, was truly a remarkable feat in a K drama, which typically has one dimensional characters. I think what we all loved about this show besides the constant ups and downs and drama, was this complexity of many of the characters, not just one of them. We saw their growth and change through the many hardships and situations they went through. And thankfully most of them came out in a better place than they were in the beginning. I also agree that you always find commenters that try to push our buttons and say things that are contrary to what we’re all feeling. I think the best way to deal with commenters like that, is to totally ignore them. I suspect they are actually looking for a fight and I’ve actually seen one of the commenters on this board on other boards doing the same thing. I’m proud of everybody who resisted the urge to confront this individual.
I really enjoyed that finale. It was so wholesome. Watching Gi Chan get his final wish was the best scene for…
All your observations are spot on. You really summed up the relationships between the characters beautifully. I totally agree with you that they did drop the ball with YG. she really became a rather pitiful character, and even her father had more romantic potential than she did. I also like that it was only a one year Timehop, which was the necessary amount of time for everyone to heal and move forward. I almost wish that they would do a one hour sequel so that we could catch up with them all five years from now, but I doubt that would happen
Getting ready to start ep100 - and I just want to say I have been disappointed in this drama, especially the last…
Sorry you feel that way after watching so many episodes. I hope you feel differently after episode 100. This is the best daily drama with outstanding acting that I’ve even seen. But I do respect your different opinion.
I loved the final scene between Gi Chan and Jae In. You could see that she still had feelings for him and that he was truly remorseful. They had a great chemistry together. That was my favorite scene of this episode.
Compared to many k dramas, including the popular mainstream ones, this one had a good final episode. All loose ends were tied up with a bow. All the characters got an ending they deserved. We even got a kiss at the end. There was nothing left to cover, no unfinished business, just us viewers being sad that it’s over.
Gi- chan's final moment captures the profound tragedy arc. His final , self- sacrificial act- using his "…
Well written analysis. I, like many other I’m sure, share your view. I don’t think I’ve seen a drama where there has been such a reversal of feelings toward a character. It’s going to be hard to top this one!
I wonder if the actress playing SeRi received combat pay. She was beaten up a lot by her MIL. I hope that bag was empty and light weight. She was slapped and thrown in the ground by GC. I’d love to see the outtakes from those scenes!
Se Ri is despicable as expected but Nok Sook Ja- wow. A horrible mother and human being. Focusing on the life…
All great observations that I concur with. That bed scene really annoyed me but I saw the logo so I got it. I tried to hang on to every last minute, knowing it’s coming to an end. Your comments about GC and JI are spot on. I would live there to be a short conversation between them before he slips away. They both showed so much emotion in their scenes together. It was heartbreaking when he heard his wife and mother fighting over his life insurance
