Yeah no, kdramas are way behind compared to western shows in terms of diversity or stereotypes.

It's usually borderline insulting or ignorant and imagine giving non Korean actor lead role or role that is not meme or random bad guy.

Well idk if mother lying about not being hungry is the same thing. She could be rationalising and convincing herself that she is not hungry but she is still actively telling white lie and is feeling hungry for sure. Mother still knows it's a lie. I am talking about the mom and kid in the restaurant.

ML I asume is missing some piece of information or actually believes his actions lead to her death which could be true and at same time mean he is not actively lying to his knowledge he is speaking the truth.

I think FL powers work on persons subjective truths not overall objective truth. It can not work on objective truth because many questions she asked and got answers for were based on subjective truths not some.e outsider god perspective on what is true.

Sure this is all fantasy but if her power worked based on objective truths then that would be way more complicated on how it works and judges truths and at same time more lame and boring because you can't play around with subjective truths.

Lie detectors are not used as evidence because you can manipulate them. In this case ML can believe and convince himself that he killed someone or someone died because of him but that doesn't mean it's objectively true. He could come to that conclusion and believe it's truth in his eyes and blame himself. I think that will be the case for this drama.

He thinks he is responsible for her death because he broke up with her which lead to her presumably committing suicide. So he believes he killed her to be the truth.

One would hope it's just improvisation considering it's jazz club.

Episode 13 was painful to watch.. as always dramas fall apart in last third..

Also so many plot holes and stuff just all over the place.

After I saw FL for some reason having phone not under password and not waking up when it rings I knew this episode will introduce trash plot.

They better not shove in triangle with her ex.

Well they need to back log all resolution in last episode because that's how they make you watch all episodes and get good ratings on finale / make money.

So this creates filler boring episodes where nothing happens and everything is shoved in last episode where there is not enough time to do it all proper and it feels rushed without proper conclusion.

That is why pre produced kdramas are usually way better for pacing because it's all planned out with a vision and not looking at sponsors and ratings on weekly bases and next episode bait previews.

It would be better but that would also require a lot more effort from writers to craft something special they care about.

This is just another job for them. It's average copy pasta romcom kdrama and they just did the bare minimum to satisfy the sponsors.

Story is all over the place so I mostly skipped and watched on faster motion for few scenes that were entertaining.

Skip this and watch anime or read manga. First 4 episodes of anime is way better version of first half of this movie. 2nd half of the movie is just awful.

Movie is way worse execution of anime or manga. They have style and are more in-depth story. They are also more emotional and you connect to characters.

Here it was rushed and changed for the worst and it didn't even cover all that much of material.

Movie also changed and skipped many parts done in anime / manga. Every aspect is done worse here.

It's the same name 🤣 anime is definitely better and it's series so it goes more in depth. Tho it's still airing and not fully out.

It's ok but really started dragging so I dropped it at episode 12/24.

Lot of dramas get draggy and worse in 2nd half / last third. They have lot of development initially and then most resolve gets pushed to final 2 episodes, leaving episodes between feeling draggy.

This is ofc done mostly because of as revenues to milk all episodes and get bigger sponsor money on finale.

Many kdramas being draggy is a valid critique considering you can see how good it can be when kdrama is preproduced and all episodes released on 1 day. Those mostly don't have issue because they are not held back by ad monetization and tv.
