This show would have been better if it only stuck to the vet hospital and all their random shenanigans & the romance. The big secret identity was pointless because in the end it didn’t matter. The final reveal lasted barely an episode then everyone went out to dinner as one big happy family. This was not a good show.
I’m enjoying this show very much. This show has the same vibe as The Story of Ming Lan & A Dream of Splendor. They have really good FLs who are smart & well rounded characters whose main focus is not romance but surviving & thriving in a patriarchal world and MLs who do not impede on the ladies’ ambition but rather support them! The one issue have so far is the fighting scenes. I know it’s not really the focus but those edits are no bueno - you just see them swinging the swords & close-up shots of their faces lol but overall I am pleasantly surprised by this gem!
Is it implied the FL won the prize at the flower poem event because the number one scholar let her win?
Nope! She won because she wrote a poem about riding horses on the borders & the other scholars assumed it was Lord Ding so they voted for it. They didn’t want to offend him. She knew they would make that assumption! That’s why Lord Ding served her the hot tea to punish for making it look like HE wrote the bad poem lol
Why so much criticism for this drama🤔https://www.facebook.com/365672060831669/posts/pfbid0ifJ3ZbSrr7PiHaV3Ngk8Kd59svGjqhxzXaCwpkK2f5dHibzZHwxLDoSGbMMcnu4dl/?mibextid=Nif5oz
Sorry…but this is hilarious. Are people really timing screen times!!? I swear, UBER STAN fans are something else smh. And why would the 2nd & 3rd CPs get more screen time than the main leads?? All promotions were focused on ML & FL mostly. Anyways, I’m enjoying the show but I do feel that certain scenes end so abruptly that I’m getting whiplash at times lol. Gosh, LYX & Bai Lu are so beautiful! And ML is skinny (he can’t help it) but I think that the costume designers have done a great job in fitting him with clothes that work well for his body type. He looks good! And Bai Lu looks beautiful as always…
C-Drama writers/directors really need to work on these endings cuz they’re not it 🤦🏻♀️ but The ending doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of the show. I still love it. I’ll just pretend the show ended after YT & Fifth’s wedding at the white bamboo village. Hot Pot & Rainbow blessing. The end.
You know what I appreciated most about this drama? Besides everything lol. It’s that the 2 main couples are not shy about holding hands, hugging, and kissing their partners. I like that both the men & the women initiate the intimacy. Sometimes in Xianxia genre, they don’t show that much affection & often the men are the ones who initiate and the women act shy. I love how comfortable they are at expressing their love & just acting like married couples. The chemistry between the casts - partners, siblings, and friendships- all feel so organic and natural. That’s why it hurt so badly when ish hits the fan.
Felt like I got the entire romance plot from the credits 🤷♂️ ML and FL walk on the love destiny bridge...…
It’s a bummer that you’re already writing off the show after two episodes because I think you’re missing out on a great Xianxia drama. The sisters are two of the best FL characters I’ve seen in a looooong time. Their relationship & interactions with each other, their partners, and their friends already make this a top tier drama in ANY genre. How did you get that they were spoiled brats anyways?!? Lol. But I know taste is subjective so this may not be your cup of tea. That’s fine. I sometimes drop very popular series after a few episodes too and wonder what I’m missing. Good luck finding a new drama to watch that is more to your liking :)
Has this show officially forgotten it’s about aviation? Right now it’s about who likes or doesn’t like who…
I actually appreciate the slow burn romance, but I can see how the plot w/yuheng & Song Song can be a little distracting but I’m glad it’s not in the forefront. I think they’re doing a great job with mixing work place drama w/romance. They’re providing social commentary on gender issue bias, touching on sexual harassment at the workplace, and now they’re about to embark on a humanitarian mission for flooded areas. We see how worried the mechanics dept was w/regards to converting the 787 to be cargo ship for supplies so who know what’s going to happen during their humanitarian mission. We see Li Cheng (I think that his name) struggling to balance work and family as a male pilot. They just completed their recertifications via montage (which I’m thankful for). And through it all, Gu Nangting is still working on the safety Manual. Tbh, I am glad that they don’t have disasters and emergencies every episode or i’d be too scared to fly again lol. So far I’m enjoying it. I like the slow build-up of the ML & FL relationship from antagonists to respecting each other as colleagues, turning their friendship to love. They have to deal w/the ML’s trauma also so we’ll see how they plays out.
With that said, I do hope the writers don’t drag the misunderstandings or love triangle for too long. We’re barely in the halfway point so I expect it to be a slower in the middle (typical of Cdrama) and hopefully they stick the landing!
I’m on ep 16 or 17 but I’m not liking how choppy the editing, the story, and character development are. I…
I’m at 17 episodes and I totally agree with you. I feel like it’s 2 separate shows - one the fluffy romantic drama & one the court intrigue drama - and the writing/director is not doing a great job of combining the two in a natural way. When it’s the fluffy romantic parts, it’s adorable. But then I get whip lash when it gets to the serious “court intrigue” (which, tbh, isn’t that intriguing). And we could spot the villain and eventual storyline a mile away- you don’t cast Peter Ho to play a meek lantern making emperor. And FL’s eyes are sometimes distracting lol.
This is just my opinion. It doesn’t take away from your enjoyment of it so no hate :) I love both actors and will continue to watch for the fluffy romance because I’m enjoying that a lot. I know it’s going to get angsty or sad soon so I’m enjoying all the fun moments now.
Well, DFQC will not die for sure because in the introduction of ep1, it is said he can not be killed, and they…
Lol. That’a a No for me! I hate those types of ambiguous endings, tbh. I prefer it be cut & dry- whether it’s a bad ending or good ending! I like finality to my shows.
As for DFQC staying dead, I’m glad they didn’t go w/the tragic route. After all they’ve been through, I’d be so pissed if they didn’t get they’re HEA. And I don’t think it would have been as popular it is now because of our investment in their happiness!
Now I just need my boy Changheng to get is HEA too!
2. Annoying 2ML & 2FL
3. 1 break-up towards the end for a lame-ass tropey reason
4. HE
Hope this helps 👍🏽
