The show doesn’t center their romance but what we get is amazing :) We actually see them fall in love as the series progresses and we understand WHY they fell in love w/each other. Their communication is top tier - they talk and seek support & run ideas w/each other! They both have their own life and goals that doesn’t always revolve around each other so it’s awesome that when they’re not together that they ability have other relationships beyond the romantic type. FL & ML both are equals in their relationship. I love how loving they are w/one another - their intimacy in their communication & their physicality.

I’m not one to put a label of “good” or “bad” on the daughters, you did. I only mentioned that they had similar stories with regards to DV. Of course their temperaments and sense of entitlement dictated their actions - whether to hide the abuse or lash out at others because the situation was not within their control. Both of those actions resulted in the consequences that we saw.
As for being forced to Marry, I think she wanted to marry into that families- but I could be mistaken. Either way, no one deserves to be abused. It just sucked that she ended up digging her own grave.

I’m enjoying this so much! I hope they resolve the mystery about ML’s identity sooner rather than later so that it doesn’t become a drag on the story. FL is too smart to not figure it out - especially since he is the tallest person in the dang city!

What if the stupid emperor is going to punish the Hua family again once he figures out that ML likes FL and would do anything to protect her, including disobeying his orders?? They’re prob going to lose the home/business in the city and have to start over again in some podank fishing town. Because so far their rise from nothing to something didn’t meet w/too many obstacles. Just my thoughts …

This show would have been better if it only stuck to the vet hospital and all their random shenanigans & the romance. The big secret identity was pointless because in the end it didn’t matter. The final reveal lasted barely an episode then everyone went out to dinner as one big happy family. This was not a good show.
I’m enjoying this show very much. This show has the same vibe as The Story of Ming Lan & A Dream of Splendor. They have really good FLs who are smart & well rounded characters whose main focus is not romance but surviving & thriving in a patriarchal world and MLs who do not impede on the ladies’ ambition but rather support them! The one issue have so far is the fighting scenes. I know it’s not really the focus but those edits are no bueno - you just see them swinging the swords & close-up shots of their faces lol but overall I am pleasantly surprised by this gem!

Nope! She won because she wrote a poem about riding horses on the borders & the other scholars assumed it was Lord Ding so they voted for it. They didn’t want to offend him. Sorry…but this is hilarious. Are people really timing screen times!!? I swear, UBER STAN fans are something else smh. And why would the 2nd & 3rd CPs get more screen time than the main leads?? All promotions were focused on ML & FL mostly. Anyways, I’m enjoying the show but I do feel that certain scenes end so abruptly that I’m getting whiplash at times lol. Gosh, LYX & Bai Lu are so beautiful! And ML is skinny (he can’t help it) but I think that the costume designers have done a great job in fitting him with clothes that work well for his body type. He looks good! And Bai Lu looks beautiful as always…
C-Drama writers/directors really need to work on these endings cuz they’re not it 🤦🏻♀️ but The ending doesn’t take away from my enjoyment of the show. I still love it. I’ll just pretend the show ended after YT & Fifth’s wedding at the white bamboo village. Hot Pot & Rainbow blessing. The end.
