I am so disappointed too. So many folks calling FL out of her name here & Tik Tok & Twitter just because she is trying to protect herself and her family.

We see all the trauma that ML experienced since he was a kid and we empathize with him so we want him to succeed but he was a manipulative prince- even if it’s for his and his mom’s survival. He knew his uncle took the relief fund but did not expose him. He used that as a leverage to get Shangguan He to work for him instead. Of course he treated them all well but it was still part of his scheme. Up until the execution he didn’t do the right right thing until FL lectured him about the hypocrisy. I’m not saying he’s a bad person for it or that he didn’t have a reason for it. I’m just saying that’s complicated. he finally took full responsibility for his actions to atone for his past mistakes. Hopefully FL finds out and understands him better.

He gets one more good cry from heartbreak (in his white outfit) and then I need him to be happy & in love the rest of the series or we riot at down! lol

Saw a clip of FL kneeling on the snow with a big bundle of letters. I am assuming from the previews that after Nan Heng admits to being the leader of The Night Wanderers she’ll offer testimonies from the people who have been helped by them to the stupid emperors that’s my guess.

Yeah it’s getting ridiculous and from the previews it doesn’t seem to get any better. More not communicating with each other, more noble sacrifices to keep the others safe, and randomly prince 4 is mad at ML & will work to make him kneel before him? What is happening lol. Imma take a break from this drama for now cuz it’s becoming too much. Everyone is pissing me off lol

We have the luxury of being omnipresent but she doesn’t. She’s been on survival mode since episode 1. I know some folks are praising Yi Ting for her immediate acceptance of her love & how smart she is but glossing over the fact that she drugged ML on the first place.

Tbh- I haven’t been disappointed at FL lead at all. I appreciate how the story is playing out BUT I did read a post by the director via Twitter from Weibo who helped me see the big picture about FL. He noted that every time there is some shift in FL’s understanding of ML the Major Plot Points will happen which keeps putting doubts in FL’a head that the script can be changed. So for her, whatever she does didn’t really make a difference because it will happen anyways in just in a slightly diff way.

Some tropes I can live with & even look forward to because what’s a C-drama w/out surviving a cliff plunge or ML saving FL in distress but I dislike miscommunications/misunderstandings when conversations can resolve issues & I DESPISE amnesia storylines with a passion- whether it’s real or fake. I enjoyed this in the beginning but the latter episodes have left much to be desired. Hoping they can steer this ship back on course soon

Just a random question- I live in California & new episodes premiere @3am. It’s 4th of July so I was able to catch it that early since no work but some of y'all already commenting on this forum. What time do y’all watch it??? lol

Yes! I think they do a great job at shifting tones in the drama so well. It goes from being funny to building up dramatic tension so seamlessly. I can’t wait for the next two episodes.

The Emperor is final boss villain #1 & ML’s uncle is villain #2 so I guess we’re adding 2ML to the list of villains. It looks like they’re going with the 2ML turns evil after being jilted by FL trope eh?? He was always sus to me but it’s prob because I’m bias for ML lol

Exactly!! It sucks that people still hate FL. She is doing everything in her power to try to change her fate because all the major plot points from the script are playing out but with different context to it. She is stuck between a rock & a hard place so I’m excited to see how the story plays out. I LOVE the FL so much ! Both the character & the actress.

it’s not a rip-off because the transmigration trope into books/video games/tv shows has existed before Tiger & Rose or Eastern fantasy. Just read any manga or watch any anime from the last 20-30yrs, or random K-dramas/C-dramas from the last 10-15yrs.

I’ve been a fan of Li Yi Tong since Bloody Romance & Blossom In Heart but have been disappointed in her other series. I am so happy this is successful & hopefully she is able to get better scripts/drama because she’s a great actress. But I do understand what it feels like to be disappointed in a series you’ve been waiting for- that was me for plenty of recent shows BUT I’m too much of a coward to comment on it because some of the folks here are not very kind when you have a differing opinion LOL. So bravo for giving your opinion!! Hahaha. Anyways- hopefully the next show you’re looking forward to is more to your taste. This show has been BLAST for me! 1000/100!!!

I agree. I think it is important for the plot to play out. The counterfeit $$ & the silver mining are just pieces of the puzzle. Beiyan wants the map but we don’t know why so that’s why FL is investigating it so she can have leverage to help her bro. ML is trying to avenge is family by destroying the Meng Clan. CP is the most obvious villain but I think someone else is pulling the strings. The other prince is most Sus TBH cuz every time we see him he is just creepy lol we’ll see if all the plotting makes sense at the end 🤞🏼
