This is how you do comedy w/out it being cringey or looking like it’s trying too hard to be funny. I wish they can keep this chaotic fun energy thru 40 episodes but I know the shift will happen inevitably. I’m enjoying the ride!!

I’m enjoying it- however just be aware he already has 1 wife & 2 concubines- the harem sounds like a turn off for some folks but if you watch you’ll see why he has them . It is good 6 episodes in 👍

I know some folks were being so dramatic about him already having a wife & 2 concubines so it might affect their view of the series. So far with 6 episodes in I think it’s moving at a great pace & the all the characters are pretty sharp. I’m enjoying it so far 👍

It’s not available in Netflix in US (yet). I am hoping they add it after it’s completed because I want it to get a second wind with a new set of fans! It deserves all the accolades and recognition!! Netflix US is so slow to add C-Dramas but when they do it’s usually from Tencent/WeTV so I still have hopes!

this is such a character growth for WS. Old him would’ve lashed out or yelled…New him was more disappointed I think. And he’a allowed to be upset & be in his feels. Everything happened so fast that he didn’t get a chance to process his feelings of hurt…so I’m not upset with his actions/response. I agree with you- they’ll work it out!

She was a little kid who threw two stones on the ground and the grandpa took it as a sign from heaven not to help…it’s just a random observation most likely insignificant !

I was wondering about that too! I’m rewatching the show again via Viki (bigger screen than my phone) & remembered that FL was the one who did the divination that prevented the Qiaos from helping the Weis that caused the deaths. The divination tool was shown again later so I wonder if he’ll find out about it? And that would cause a rift between them?? I don’t know…just speculating here.

In my opinion, the 8.9 is well deserved. So far it leans towards Blossom (my fav c-drama from 2024) rather than the Glory.

Haven’t finished yet but read the ending. I don’t really mind if it’s a SE or HE (OE are considered SE to me) as long as it makes sense to the story. I am disappointed but that doesn’t take away from it being a great show. Loved everything about it except (🐈‍⬛❄️🐇💔😭).

If u rewatch it that scene, you’ll see that she didn’t want to go with him but when she was saying no she saw the change in his expression from 😀to 👿 so she knew she was in trouble. she said she’ll get her coat and left a clue behind for XuanYe. She was trying to find a way to escape him…so I think she did the best she could under those circumstances tbh

I’m enjoying this very much. Good storyline & love the pace too! I really like the development of their relationship- I’m not a fan of love at first sight so this is def my type of romance. I’m already bracing myself for Iqiyi’s one ep per day nonsense when it gets closer to last episodes. 😭

Actress acting? I’m on episode 5 and so far I think she’s doing fine. She’s not annoying or acting silly. Some folks just want to hate I guess.
