I was a little taken aback because of the costumes, but I'm glad I decided to give this show a shot! It's nice and funny (the sight of Ohno dressed up as an acorn is priceless) and it's not too drama filled. It's perfect if you just want something relaxing with annoyingly catching songs that will get stuck in your head.
Giving Nozomi-chan cancer was the shittiest thing in the story - and that's saying a lot. I'm not even kidding when I say it ruined the whole dorama for me.
Such a shame, really. It was so beautiful up until the cancer reveal and the subsequent ending.
I don't understand the ending. What is the big twist?
Explain it to me..
The fact that the story wasn't linear, and she was, in fact, dating both guys at the same time :) (We were lead to believe it was the same guy and the story was linear - even though there were hints that it wasn't like that, of course.)
Sometimes I come back to this page to see what people are saying about this series, and it seems that a lot of you went in with wildly high expectations and were disappointed.
This is understandable, since people like me sing so many praises about this dorama, but please, try your best to watch this series with no prejudices - be it negative or positive. Let it win you over slowly, without thinking too much about the story or the characters, or how beautiful or awful it should be, just because others said so.
And, if in the end you still don't like it, it's okay, we all have different tastes! I hope sooner or later you will find a dorama that will steal your heart the same way Love Shuffle stole mine. ^^
No, the "knife" you're referring to is a piece of metal from the crashed air plane. She had oxygen deprivation, which led to her vegetative state (= basically dead because she couldn't "wake up") & then she was suffocated.
To be quite honest, I'm surprised by the high ratings. I kept watching the dorama till the end because I was hoping it would redeem itself, but the show is repetitive for the first three quarters of the series, and then gets whimsically nonsense and ridiculous at the end. All in all, there's worse to be seen, but I'm not very impressed with this dorama. For me it's a 6.5 overall.
I didn't mean to start watching this yet because I was planning on watching something else, but I pressed play without thinking about it, and now I'm hooked. Sasuga Nojima-sensei.
