They started off ok, but then just went flat...they actually went together better as friends, but I'll give them credit, they did have one brief and well-done kissing scene.
I'll just toss this out there....I think there are too many characters in this drama, which may be a good or bad…
I'll say this much: This has the potential to be a really compelling, dramatic story (for me), if they play EA/EHs story right when they find out the truth about their Mother. Seeing how they react to the kind of news that would shatter their conception of their family lives would be hard to tune out. I'm not sure that's the direction they are going to go in, and I'm afraid they'll play it for laughs between JA & DG. But JA's kids are in for news that will rock their worlds and we should be able to understand what they are going to go thru.
When EA finds out the truth, she'll need someone to lean on, I'm hoping it's GR& MG. For EH, I'm not sure if HY would be there in time for him....he's going to have a rough go. Plus all the collateral damage to SW & SJ in finding out they have half-brothers/sisters.

Your feelings on 3BS is in keeping with just about everyone. The oldest couple suffered from poor chemistry. They turned out being a better "detective couple" than romantic....they were better working partners. It was funny to see the writers realize this mid-stream and emphasize the middle daughter with the CEO couple, who took over the show, "romantic" despite never sharing a kiss. I was in the minority, as I really liked the youngest son and the older woman. But I think Wang BitNa is beautiful anyways, so I'm biased. His pursuit of her and their romantic scenes hit the spot for me.
I'm hopeful here that they've plotted out how they are going to proceed with the 3 couples here, and we don't get a repeat of AOME. But that means there will be a lot of splitting time between the couples stories, which might not please the viewers or members here. Fingers crossed.
Like I said, I really want the EA/MG relationship to be developed, and not left in background. But we KNOW for sure ES/SW will go on, because that will be the catalyst for the parents strife that the show is supposed to be based on.

We have now the potential for 3 couples: ES/SW EH/HY EA/MG (I won't include Dancing Grandpa or SJ, as no potential suitor is available for them at this time). While 3 couples are commonplace in the weekend series, they are an hour+ in running time per episode, albeit only 50 eps long (per recent KBS history). In a daily, with less than 30 mins running time, we are left with characters fighting for significant airtime to tell their stories. While this DOES help pad out the 120-episode run, we are left with the 'running in circles' problem many below have noted. Thus we get extended lapses in the story for ES/SW while they have to focus on EH/HY & EA/MG, so they are not completely in the background and irrelevant.
Sometimes the secondary couples are a "safety-valve" if the primary couple does not have good chemistry (see 3 Bold Siblings), aka "secondary couple syndrome". The 3rd couple usually seems to wind up on "Irrelevant Island", once they have been established with a relationship.
I think each of these couples could have an equally compelling relationship for us to watch, if fully developed. I really want to see how EH & HY would relate to each other, as they both need a mate. Even moreso for EA/MG, as their relationship will be guided by her feelings for not only him, but ultimately GaRam, who is the smooth operator in that family. I WANT to see her become the caring step-mother she can be, and a mature buffer to help MG thru life.
But how do they shoe-horn all this into a 25 minute window, when they STILL have to service the main point of the show: the conflict between JA & DG/chicken fryer?
Oh well, just some random thoughts on a rainy weekend here.

I watched that ep last night. I don't know why they had to write that part of the scene in....to make her look like some kind of evil genius or something? If she was a man, she'd be twirling her mustache a la "Snidely Whiplash" (I'm dating myself).
It was a bit over-the-top for me. I would have put her in the office looking out of the window watching ES drive away, and not saying anything, with a blank expression on her face. So that we are left guessing what she's thinking.

He is in for some really rough-sailing ahead, not only when he finds out about who is mom is, but that his beloved little sister is his half-sister. And that the woman he has a crush on, has been playing games with her. It's going to be really interesting to see how they resolve that for him and HY.

I just don't see the SJ/MG connection, Sher. She's too flighty/impulsive/immature for me. And she would be interested in a man with a child? I still think EA would be a good match for him, given her maturity and that she isn't hesitant to interact with his son. I get the feeling that the woman that dumped GaRam with MG was more like an SJ than EA. But, EA is going to have a lot on her plate to deal with once the truth comes out about her mom, so she might miss the chance with MG....
Although ES can be a bit frustrating at times, I can understand her confusion and reluctance to say anything at this point. Here she is, a lowly intern in a new (to her) field, hired by a woman who took a chance on her and also tried to get her hired as an actress. She finds out that she might be in the middle of a romantic situation between this woman (HY) and one of her other superiors (SW). I'd be crawling into the background too and keeping my head down. And to her credit, she did come out and tell SW that she's been told he and HY are an item...she should tell him to leave her out of it - she wants to keep her job. Of course, we know all this is predicated on a lie, but she's not aware of that yet, and not bold enough to risk asking. For my money, as a retired manager, HY and SW are both at fault. They both should leave their personal matters at home and not bring them to the office. He's told her he's not interested (I think?) and she should respect that. And he needs to stop scheming to ensure he creates situations with ES at work. For a guy who (correctly) accused a former superior of sexual harassment, he needs to get a clue as to his behavior at the workplace. But this is Dramaland, after all.....

As horrible as HaeMi was, she was an interesting character. I knew a lot of fans HATED her (as I did) and scoffed when they began to redeem her. But it did seem realistic to me, as when she realized that ML had a real connection to the FL (I'll omit details for SPOILERS) she knew it was 'Game Over' for any chances of her and him and gave up and helped them get together. Watching her realize this was interesting and well-written to me, but was very unpopular here in the forums.
Agreed. What was odd though, was that they showed him putting the death certificate carefully back on the entryway to the apartment building, even putting a weight on it so it wouldn't blow away. And yet, JS somehow missed it when she re-traced her steps back to her place.
Although it hasn't been mentioned, the scene in Ep37, between HY and EH was really well done. When he realized he was firmly in her friend-zone I could feel the air escape from his body. Best scene of that episode, and again, the actors and crew are doing a great job.
At least he knows what he's up against. I really like his character.
