Sigh! He only started writing the divorce later because she did make it sound like she married him out of guilt and didn't rectify, instead she just sat and said nothing while he wrote the letter.
Unclear. Prob somebody came by the academy gates to give it to her. She could have said same thing she said before…
I think considering the delivery of the edict as an obvious plot hole is so far reached it comes across to me as just wanting to pick on the drama. Ye Li frequently went down to the gate to chat with the soldiers, they all knew her. A courier on horse delivered the edict at the gate and went back, the end. There was no pomp about it, the ED didn't even bother to provide a carriage for Ye Li , she had to ask the soldiers for money to make her own way because otherwise she'd have to walk all the way to the city.
As for the plague, so far the plot says they all died of 'an illness'. They could even have eaten something bad and she was the only one who didn't. We'll have to wait and see the full explanation.

The edict deliverer was there to deliver the edict, job done. The ED wasn't bother about it to the point she didn't even provide the means to bring Ye Li back to Da Chu, she had to borrow money from the soldiers and make her own way. Since entrance to the academy had been forbidden by the ED herself, most likely scenario is she received it at the gate. In most costume cdramas edicts are read at the entrance to the house, the messenger doesn't get invited for tea. I don't see this as a plot hole at all.
I don't understand the need to make one of them the guilty party. Both of them had their reasons to react as they…
I couldn't disagree more. She didn't need to beg, she needed to explain. He didn't go back to her out of pity, but because he desperately missed her. I'm starting to suspect you are psychologically projecting on him, leave the poor guy alone. ð
34 is another corker of a great ep gone in 10'. Am I in a time warp? How can 45' zoom by like that? And then the wait until tomorrow feels like 3 summers. After it finishes I will need to binge again on this entire drama for a whole weekend, nothing else will satisfy me.
How come Canbei princess died so easily while Qin Cang could play the world cup the very next day?
Qin Cang's assassin missed his heart by the edge of a hair, so he played the World Cup the next day with a perforated lung. Evil Ziu Die didn't miss, so the princess is toast. Still, it seems to me a waste of a well thought out, interesting and very likeable character that was fast on her way to become Ye Li's best friend, not to mention her poor grieving boyfriend.
the more i think about it i can't forgive the ML -- not just because he was upset but the way he treated her and…
Again, there is no evil guy in their relationship. She's not the innocent victim, she should have told him the truth before he learned it in a bad way from the evil marquis. She led him to believe with her own words that she'd married him out of guilt and didn't explain when he stated so. She's extremely eloquent, but was sitting silently in the same room while he was writing the divorce letter in tears. Both of them are psychologically damaged from past events we've already seen, both of them are at fault about the brief fall out in their relationship. He immediately rushed to the mountain to rescue her, she immediately accepted him and didn't even think there was anything to forgive. Would you prefer it if she held a grudge against him and put an end to their marriage? Personally I am relieved that they are lovingly back together and he's doing so much for her again.
