Okay, but LJL with his long hair down in that dark blue outfit is actually divine. I’m not even being dramatic—this…
He is impossibly good looking, I look at him just for the pleasure of contemplating beauty. The combination of this with being one of the best actors in China is a reason for me to watch every single drama he's in.
You have certain points i can agree with, but it all comes down to do you care about her character developing…
LJL's personality hasn't changed at all. Up to when he had to leave for the capital he was still the extrovert, shameless, daring, scheming guy he was on ep 1, including turning up with his stuff at RSB's front door, announcing to all and sundry he was moving in with her and warning her he was going to sue her because she had 'sullied his purity'😂 . In ep 30 there is a glimpse of him in a different state (spoiler) that we don't know what it is about, we'll have to wait and see.

I don't think standing her up at the altar was the big issue with her, but the fact that he used her to catch Madame Yang and Yu Wan. She did open up to him when she let him in her plan to trap the governor with a fake book, that was a massive leap of trust she took there. We still don't know why she's not showing any interest in LJL after he's been gone for a month, but I'm sure we'll find out in the next episodes. My wild guess is the emperor suspects LJL of being biased in favour of the Rong family in the Yang-Wei case, so RSB is purposely not trying to contact him to prove his equanimity.

LJL planned to infiltrate the Rong house under the guise of a poor man injured by bandits. He still didn't tell her who he was and what he was planning after he recovered his memory. He used her in his one-sided scheme to catch Madame Yang and Yu Wan. They were both together in their trap to catch the governor. I think '2 cunning scheming characters that use each other to their advantage through the story' perfectly describes this drama, and the fact that they have almost opposite personalities (he's extrovert/shameless, she's restrained/dignified) does not alter this. At this point it's clear to me they are both in love with each other.
I have read many comments about how cold RSB is and I beg to differ. I also do not think the leads are not evenly…
I agree with you. There is a lot of hate on some of these comments for a strong, smart, independent, capable, caring and beautiful young lady. I wonder why.😏
we probably not getting a second season.Because this drama is not about the transmigration into another world.Secondly…
This drama is so vaguely based on the novel as to have very little to do with it. The Yang-Wei murder mystery is a main part of the plot, so of course it's a recurring theme. Second sister already having a partner is no obstacle for a S2 at all, quite the contrary; their story has hardly b been sketched so far and, anyway, this series is not just about romance. Yun Xi and An Chan have a lot of potential as a second couple for another season IMO.
okay what the actual hell is happening in the new episodes😭 WHAT DID THEY DO TO OUR STUPID GUY HELLO??? i quite…
'Finally something interesting is happening?' Are you actually saying nothing interesting has happened before? This is one of the most solid, intriguing, hole-free plots I've seen in quite some time.
We saw what was in the secret box in the early episodes. It’s all the momentos he’s saved from RSB because…
That's also a good guess and it could well be how it turns out to be. I just don't see why they would film that scene if there is nothing in the box aside from harmless mementos.

I know, but IMO that's no reason to bury the box in the tea fields, particularly when he's had it in his room all this time. I still suspect there must be something else in it apart from his mementos.
I think the letter from LJL to RSB was delivered to steward Cheng on purpose. Surely LJL knew he would destroy it, as he had already tried to destroy the wild tea leaves LJL brought for RSB and didn't let her know he was waiting for her outside. Anyway, both LJL and RSB have means to communicate with each other without involving steward Cheng, for example through Jun Dai.
Steward Cheng is probably not who he says he is either, or he's definitely hiding something. What is the secret in that box he buried in the tea fields?
I don't know how to feel about Yunshu. She should have killed the granny, karma be damned. Also telling her she…
Yun Shu's attempt to murder grandma was staged by Shan Bao in order to trap the fake YBL. Yun Shu just told the grandma loud and clear how she felt and thought about her. Despite hating her for what she did to her parents and to herself, she also understands her father did wrong too and why he wasn't Rong 'material'. That's just how she feels about it, whether we agree or not.
