No offense but this drama didn't served me the things I personally wanted or i thought i might get from the drama.…
The political intrigue has been there from ep 1 and is still there. You said it yourself, there are still 7 eps left; at 45min each, that's almost 6 hours of plot, which gives plenty of time to solve the Prince Li part of it. Perhaps just wait and see?

All the characters that turn out half way through are relevant to the plot and they don't just disappear into thin air, we know what happened to them. Maybe you need to pay closer attention to it.

As for the romance, it's in the actual lyrics of the OST: 'Love is not just about romance...'

In my view this is a masterpiece of a drama, definitely the best so far this year as far as the 33 eps I've watched go. I'm sure both Bai lu and Cheng Lei will win awards for this, as well as the script and direction.

Okay someone please tell me why didnt the disease affect her🤔
Some people are immune to certain viruses, this has been widely known for a long time in real life. During the 2020 pandemic some people died of covid, some others were entirely asymptomatic despite testing positive.

Is this worth watching?
A strong NO from me. I've just dropped this ridiculous excuse for a drama half way through ep 19. The plot has been going in circles for the last 10 eps, basically they just repeat the same situation. Worst script, acting, direction and whole lot of 2026, I doubt anything will come up this year to beat this as the most appallingly bad drama. Who the hell is giving it the high rating? I just gave it 1 star and wished I could rate it a fat zero. What a waste of time!🤬

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
His whole emotional core was resting on the love from his wife. The realisation that she had been with him all…
Agree, but this is a recurrent (and most irritating) trope in cdramas; at the time when a succinct explanation would suffix, they just say the wrong thing or nothing at all, hence letting the misunderstanding drive them apart.

Yea, but then again, did you want to see him marinate for a few weeks for this to look realistic?
LOL. Not a bad idea. If you FF all 5 eps you'll be able to watch his hair turning grey like the images in a zoetrope. 😂😂😂

Title The First Jasmine Spoiler
His whole emotional core was resting on the love from his wife. The realisation that she had been with him all…
She didn't say she liked him during this confrontation. In fact, she didn't say anything at all after he told her he didn't want her to be with him out of pity, she just froze with shock. On his part, the fact that she didn't reassured him that she loved him for himself made him think it must have all been part of her feeling indebted and sorry for him when she told him she liked him in the past.

They are both psychologically damaged and heavily reliant on each other for emotional self assurance, that's why both their worlds collapsed.

i am so disappointed with the direction the writers are taking the main couple in for ep 31… the MLs actions…
His whole emotional core was resting on the love from his wife. The realisation that she had been with him all the time out of duty toward a promise made to his brother and guilt about her mother's part on his family's fall broke him.

ah right, whoops! the translation on kisskh kept saying “tricked of the edict” so I thought she took it off…
She was murdered by her mother-in-law, Ye Li's grandmother, who confessed to Ye Li in the garden before a big branch of the tree Wanzhou and Ye Li planted fell on her and slowly killed her.

For me watching 31 was a relief, at least their relationship is on the mend with him understanding her sufferings.…
Agree. I'm glad I watched 31. Fei Bai did the right thing when he gave Xiu Yao the hair dryer treatment, it was needed. Now Xiu Yao is on his way up to Lishan to make amends and bring Ye Li back.

The moment MXY burned that precious memento, I lost all sympathy for him.
For him, the belief that she was with him just out of duty to a promise made to his brother was earth shattering. For her, being given divorce papers by the love of her life..., he may as well have removed the ground from under her feet. Both of them are at fault, both of them are victims of their own fears.

It's a 40 eps drama. Today we get 31, so 9 left if you have already watched it.
Assuming nothing goes on about them in eps 31 to 34 because they are not in a 1' teaser doesn't make sense. They could or could not be part of them, we won't know until we watch them.

Why is he getting grey hair? I read that the novel is a happy ending and I totally know the drama isnt really…
If she leaves him and goes back to Lishan Academy he'll go completely grey, what could be more stressful for him? Of course he'll go entirely grey.

General Li is now in charge of taking Zui Die back for punishment. I don't like that,
The general wants revenge against Xiu Yao for killing his father. I reckon he's going to get in cahoots with Zui Die to lie to their emperor and provoke a war.

Drama started out well ,now it's just seems a lot of things happening but at the same time nothing is happening.…
Nothing happening? Are we watching the same drama? As for chemistry, Ye Li and Xiu Yao have plenty of it in their relationship, the way they understand each other, their sweetness and how committed they are to each other, all these are shown at every step. Mad passion is not their thing and it's not what this drama is about. Both Bai Lu and Cheng Lei are nailing their roles, I think this is their best drama so far.

Why do Marquis Muyang’s sons each have a different last from him? Or, is “Zhou” Marquis’ surname? Or is…
Qin Cang was born out of wedlock. The marquis did not recognise him as his son, so he was given his mother's family name.

So is he dead??
And a massive hypocrite to boot. All the evil he's done for his own gain but he keeps telling the ED he did it for her. He's despicable. He needs to die by Xiu Yao's hand.
