He was FABULOUS in Falling Into Your Smile... so much so that on one rewatch, I had to document all of the matches and commentators... and it started because I was just so impressed with his energy and silliness (in one key scene) and professional delivery... in the thread (here: https://kisskh.at/discussions/falling-into-your-smile/81651-who-were-the-commentators) you can see that many of us thought that the commentators might have been real ones invited for the roles... of them, he seems to be the only one identified (as an actor) by name.

Why can't I rate this one and add it to my watch list? The star/rating just says "N/A"????

I liked him in this one - though I tend to like him better in historicals (except for his penultimate performance as MING God in FIYS) - he can do cold without seeming blank and he can turn the character fuzzy without losing the character.

Yeah! Funny enough I recently saw a new version but the quality was much lower than these versions... still watchable, still decent - the script just plays well. No idea who stars in it but I watched it on youtube within the last month (July 2025)

There is a new version out there of this film / script with he Jianqi in the lead. I've only seen part 1 posted but it is also quite good... the dynamics and chemistry are quite delightful...

They delete them so quick from youtube that it is impossible to keep them uptodate. I have started pinning them to a board everytime I find one... each year.
