The dynamic of the leads in this vertical is enchanting. The FL is overly secure, constantly challenging the ML and often quirky. The ML is often frustrated by her but also protective and drawn in to her. Their mutual rejection and commitment to their childhood loves (actually each other - not a spoiler) brings more chaos to their relationship even as they twist and twine together.
The later subplot about her hidden identity distracts from the relationship but provides some extra drama.
