Hiatus would make any actor underrated lol,in my opinion, hes very lucky to be honest, actors who experience hiatus…
SWL also had the drama Seven Relics of Omen, it is great modern drama with a strong FL, but it more thriller, mystery, and horror than romance though. I paused on it and will probably continue when I feel like watching it, since I am not a really a big fan
horror. Once in a while I need something light, slowburn, and fluffy to watch.

I tried watching Youthful Glory because of Son Wei Long but the FL was not convincing enough to be FL. She lack the aura or screen presence of a FL. So sadly, I could not watch it. I also watch SWL's drama Everlasting Longing, but gave up on it. The Main Leads were great but the romance felt so toxic/unhealthy.
But the historical drama that I like with SWL is In a Class of Her Own. The Female lead was Ju Jing Yi, but it was years ago. SWL seem to have another drama with Ju Jing Yi coming up as well.

I am glad Xi Guang 's mom is in mom's custody and grew up with her mom and grandparents. XG's dad is terribly egotistical and selfish. XG's mom is the one with real talent and likely the reason XG's dad became successful in business. XG's dad thinks his success is because of himself, that he left XG's mom for another woman who is gold digger, that spends his money on expensive things. He basically just used XG's mom's talent and threw her out when he no longer needs her. He realizes that his daughter XG has the same talent has his ex wife, and wants to use her like he did with her mom. I am glad XG has a smart mom and told her to stay away from his dad's business. Even she is the rightful heiress, her dad seems to already his own business, it is better she stay away from all that fake things/people, and glad she is learning real skills and hope she will have her own business instead.
So maybe in the future, Nie Xi Guang can have small business and maybe Lin Yusen can have small medical office and work as Private Neurology Physician and have patients who needs general checkups.

LYS probably needs space and time to think things through. He is feeling confused because he remembers seeing NXG at the party 2 years ago, but she does not remember meeting him there.
And now he was just told that the person he was set up to meet just before he got into an accident was not NXG. But someone else who pretended to be her/Nei Chengyuan's daughter.
Maybe NXG can ask her cousin remembers if she was at that party, because she does not remember it at all.
They definitely need to think things through and communicate with each other to find out what really happened 2 years ago. Did they really meet according to LYS or was it just imagination? Because NXG said they did meet back then. It was definitely love at first sight for him, in the 1st episode, we saw that NXG was at the party but did not see them interacting, we just saw a flashback of him watching her talk with others. So we will see what happens next episode, can't wait to see what will happen next.

I actually liked the drama, it is slower pace and focuses more of slice of life but it is good change to have a calm drama versus a very stressful drama. The best friend Wang ShuHan and Feng Rui's mom Gao Hui were terrible and I understand that some audience wanted more punishments for them. But FL and ML who have been through a lot just want a simple happy life together. Sometimes when forgiving others is more about having a peace of mind for oneself and letting go of the past, which allows one to move forward. It does not mean forgetting what they did, but more about unburdening yourself from their negativity and not sinking into their level. It is best to wish others well and move on and be happy. Dwelling on the past and negative will deprive one from being happy. Shu Han and Gao Hui attracted negative energy because they were stuck in the past and so kept repeating the same mistakes, which hurt others and themselves in the process.
FL had so much trauma and so much things to deal with in the past, as well in the future. I think it just made her stronger and shine brighter, that through it all she stayed positive and looked at the bigger picture. Probably so many were attracted to her positivity and full of light/life energy, even years after. Even when her dad left, she was not as angry because she remembered positive and happy memories together with him, and that kept her moving forward through adversity.
FL and ML were both very soft spoken kind of person, they think things through and chose not only what is best for themselves, but also what is best for their son. Their son was close to Feng Rui's grandparents, so even though they should be mad at what Gao Hui did, they did not want their son to live with resentment and hate. The grandma has Alzheimer's, so she was no longer in the way of FL and ML relationship and have lost her power and money that she held on for so long, which allowed her to do evil things. ML and FL just want to be happy together with their son, without having him be burdened with others mistakes ( opposite from what Gao family did to Feng Rui, they kept guilt tripping him with Gao Tisn's death). He did not want that for his son.

FL had so much anxiety that she had to take pills and was having a mental breakdown after going through her friends betrayal, negative online rumours, and the death of her father all at once. It was wise for her to teach in Tibet for a year or so, where her father lived for years peacefully. It gave her some peace, recover from anxiety, grieve, and find happiness in oneself at the same time. It also allowed her to keep her promise to her dad. When she was better and happier with a stable mindset and emotion, ML and their son finally visited her. I know it would be nice to see an ending where they are happily spending time together. But there is no need because it is clear they all have made peace with the past and all three are finally together.

why do I like li changming and xue hanmei's love story better??!!!!
Li ChangMing and Han Mei's relationship is more mature compared to the other couples in the drama. There is more tension between them because it has been established that Han Mei had been the Royal Princess' follower for around ten years. Their characters are secretly in love with each other for that long, they had been longing for each, but have trust issues.
The other couples in the drama including the main couple were portrayed more innocently with less tension and had a cute love that is similar a first love/teen romance. The other couples fell in love fairly quickly (although some thought it was dragging), but they barely knew each other, like less than a year when they had confessed to each other. Li ChanMing and Han Mei confessed their love to each other after ten years of longing, and when they were about to die.

Wow! That is a lot dramas in your watchlist! How do you have time for all those dramas. The Untamed is the drama that really got me into Chinese dramas especially the Historical, Wuxua (martial arts) , and Xanxia (Fantasy elements. I watch also do watch Korean dramas , Japanese, Indian, and Thai dramas as well. I like the Korean drama Vincenzo, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Law School, and Beyond the Bar (I also like law dramas). I like the Korean Fantasy drama Achlemy of Souls and historical drama Under The Queen's Umbrella and Bon Appetit your Majesty.
Other Chinese modern dramas I like are Sword Rose Police drama with Dilraba and I definitely love Under Your Skin season 1 and 2 drama (Police Mystery drama with Art/Art History). Filter is a modern Fantasy romcom that I also like.
In your list is Rurouni Kenshin live action movie, I am a Rurouni Kenshin fan and love all five live action movies.
Watching a drama depends if it capture my attention in the beginning of the story. I did try Whispers of Fate but I did not like it, the scenes did not make sense to me. It felt to incoherent/unconeccted. The acting was good but I did not understand what was happening in the story.
I like mystery and medical dramas, so I like Coroner's Diary and from years back I also liked Imperial Coroner drama. For some it can be boring, but I like analyzing things when I watch dramas sometimes.
The dramas you are currently watching in your list are quite good: Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, Romance of Tiger and Rose, and Demon Hunter's Romance good.
The dramas in your list you have yet to watch that are good are: Mysterious Lotus Casebook, Si Jin, and Romance on the Farm (Romcom)
I also like the dramas from the past are New Life Begins and Wrong Carriage, Right Groom (Historical Rom Com). Also you should check out some dramas from the past, The Long Ballad and Love Like the Galaxy two of my favorites.

i am about to finish the drama , but one thing i don't understand about the Chu Yu character .. Chu Yu decided…
Chu Yu could not tell Wei Yun in the beginning because Wei Yun did not trust her (he was suspicious of her) nor did she trust him ( he was the youngest son, he did not understand the complexity of the situation). Wei Jun was the oldest and was part of the Auxiliary Bureau, so she needed WJ to help her investigate. They had to keep a secret, the less people know the less they will be implicated. Investigating without authority (Imperial Edict can be cause for treason) and was too dangerous for others to know. Even Chu Yu's sister and mom did not know the real reason she married Wei Jun, until much later when her brother finally told them.

They don't need to get the Emperor's approval because the previous egotistical Emperor who opposed the marriage passed away after 3 years and CP became Emperor. The new Emperor gave Chu Yu the title of General and not of a noble lady. So she can now freely marry Wei Yun. That is why Chu Yu proposed to We Yun with a Sword Dance in episode 40.

Definitely very satisfying ending! So happy that that the Song Siblings, Chu Siblings,Wei Yun, Lu Qiba all survived. Good thing that within 3 years CP has matured and became Emperor! Also nice of him to finally acknowledge Chu Yu as a True General , which gave her more freedom than a noble woman with title.
The Sword dance she did at the city when Wei Yun finally arrived after 3 years was stunning. After Wei Yun chasing after her, she finally boldly proposed to him, which was emotional to him, because her first sword dance was when he fell in love with her. Her first sword dance was for her brother but by accident he was the one who saw it first instead. I guess maybe fate intended it for him to see in the first place.
The action/war scenes in this drama was really good, very good strategic moves with some kind games involved. The was a great scene when all the new
generations of Sui Generals (Wei, Chu, and Song) and their army all confronted Han Mei/Zhao Yue when he was trying to escape the rebellion. The significance of the Baidu Valley were many soldiers and Generals died because Han Mei was manipulating things (including the use of stolen crossbow designs that was used. It is like it went into full circle.
Nice to know that Chu Jin and Tuan Tuan are working together in Medical business. Tuan Tuan as the Physician and the Chu Jin as the accountant manager. Nice to know that after all the Tuan Tuan chasing Chu LinYang, he finally bravely stepped up and finally chased and confessed to her. CP was mature enough to let Tuan Tuan her first love go, making sure she is happy. Song Wen Cheng and Chu Jin happily together, while it was implied that Song Shilan went to the temple with Jiang Chun, Wei Yun sister in law.
* Song WenCheng and Lu Qiba were so funny teasing Wei Yun and Chu Yu by the way. They seem to enjoy being the third wheel, Lol
Wei Yun and Chu Yu's dream once everything is peaceful and stable, is for them to live together happily secluded in the mountains surrounded by nature with XiaoJi as they stated in the beginning. After all the trauma, war, and societal pressures they went through I definitely understand why they chose a peaceful life. The city and palace is full of traps, pressure, rules, and restraints that stifle their desire for freedom. I don't think they want to go back to the kind of life that feels like a cage even if one has status or power. As Generals they can fight for their country, but they rather not have noble titles. The Song brothers and her brother Chu LinYang can have those instead.
What a tragic love story Princess ChangMing and Han Mei/Zhao Yue had. Because the Princess was the one who let Han Mei in the palace, she felt partly responsible for letting him get away with killing 100,000 Sui soldiers and Generals behind her back. Han Mei said that the poison he gave her can harm someone lightly if taken only a little bit, but if taken the whole thing. I don't how much she has taken. Their tragic story is similar to Romeo and Juliet, two royals accidentally falling in love with someone whom your country is at war with, then both dying with poison.
* Princess ChangMing said Han Mei if both of them gets reborn, she wishes they were not born as royals. To be a royal, means sacrificing for your country and to be denied the choice
who to love. They definitely have feelings for each other but it was a point no return. Maybe a writer can write their side story in which they can be reborn, but not in the past, maybe some years in to the future in which they are not royals but from a commoner/merchant/scholar class. It might be enemies to lovers or second chance romance. Liang Xue Feng (Han Mei) and Joe Chen (Princess ChangMing) should definitely be in another drama again.

Episodes 33 and 34 were quite good, even though scenes with the Emperor annoyed me. I like the scene where Wei Yun, Li Qiba, and Song Wenchang went to the brothel to cheer up Wei Yun. Wei Yun purposely going there so he can ruin his God of War reputation, Song Wenchang wanting to support his friend while covering his eyes because he did want to be disloyal to Chu Jin, and Lu Qiba supporting his friend while having fun at the same time. While the girls Chu Yu , Chu Jin , and Tuan Tuan having girls talk and confessing about their feelings for the one they like on the roof top. Then Chu Yu and Song Wenchang being matchmakers for Chu LinYang and Tuan Tuan. After LinYang confessing to Tuan Tuan,we get a confession from Song Wen Chang to Chu Yu. The interactions between Chu Yu and Wei Yun was also cute with the cricket and puppy XiaoQi!
* Gu ChuSheng believes power will help get him what he wants and desires. But to Wei Yun he sees these titles of power as a trap or cage. He refuses the title God of War and defies the Emperor from giving him titled, because Wei Yun refuses to be the Emperor's pawn, tool, or puppet. He wants to do his duty as soldier/general but wants his personal life to be his own choosing and separate from his career. Wei Yun wants work and life balance, not to be a slave to work/career on the Emperor's whims.

Your current comment is just four hours ago and not a day ago. I am just commenting that I disagree about the Emperor being changed as a character, because he was never been shown as kind or smart as you said. He is more of suspicious character to me, especially that he allowed CP to command Wei troops to fight in a battle that got them killed in the first place. And chose to believe CP and Duke of Ning's Lies in the beginning of the show.

Well, from the Emperor's perspective it is a death sentence for him to allow two great generals to marry as they…
The Emperor in the beginning was not kind or smart and has changed much compared to now actually. Princess ChangMing even said in earlier episodes that he has not changed much. The same thing Chu Yu said to Gu ChuSheng. Both the Emperor and Gu Chu Sheng would step over their love ones and choose status/career. To them everything is a transaction.
Remember the fued the Emperor and Princess ChangMing had, she can't forget that he had forced her to marry someone cruel and abusive to gain power for himself. The Emperor's selfishness, arrogance, and cruelty for power has not changed because the writer said so, it is still the same. Kechu is right, the Emperor sees people only as pawns and easily throws them away when he does not need them anymore. Even his sister who is loyal to Sui, despite falling for Han Mei got hurt by the Emperor. He knows her sister in Northern Qi, but he is so calm about it and is not even desperately looking for her, wondering about her safety. He only cares about power and his throne.

Just barely into episode 33 and the emperor is so stupid. Pinning his most powerful supporters against each other.…
I agree with you! I am so mad at the Emperor! He wants to give them or force them to accept some titled BS as a reward, and when they decline he wants to throw them in prison. And for the Emperor to say to Wei Yun that he wants him to guard Sui state for a hundred years is ridiculous! Who even lives that long, the Emperor does not live even that long. He definitely does not respect that generals that fight for Sui, he wants Wei Yun only to be a slave.
I know the previous Emperor was Lord Qin and the father of Han Mei/Zhao Yue who had a relationship with Princess Qi, I wonder if he was worse than this current Emperor now. The current Emperor used Princess ChangMing to marry someone secure his seat at the throne,
reason she is mad at him. This current Emperor just seems to abuse his supporters to keep his throne. I did not like the crown prince in the beginning because he was arrogant and lazy, but if he grows up a better person than his dad, I would rather want CP as Emperor than the current one, the same feeling as you!

Both Wei Yun and Chu Yun have been through a lot protecting their great state of Sui, but the Emperor does not want to reward them of what they really want, which is WY and CY wants to marry officially. The Emperor thinks love is a weakness and that Chu Yu will be Wei Yun's weakness. He wants Wei Yun to be the God of War for Sui, so he wants to manipulate WY by driving away /depriving him of the one person he truly loves.
In similar way Han Mei/Zhao Yue's mom also thinks love is also a weakness, and wants ZY to give up his love for Princess ChangMing of Sui. She wants manipulate ZY and wants him to focus on conquering the world.
So, these two rulers( Emperor of Sui and Dowager Empress of Qi ) are so obsessed with power that they want to manipulate and deprived the ones who contributed the most to their state/country of the one love they want.
That is crazy!......Ok, we will have to see how this drama goes, because Wei Yun and Chu Yu are both brave warriors who want to protect Sui and it's people, but neither desire power or fame, they want to Iive a simple and humble life. Which is far different than what the Emperor wants or expects from Wei Yun, who he wants to use him as his shield by making him into a God of War.

The interaction between Miss Song and Chu LinYang is adorable. She surprised CLY with her stubborness and determination that he can't turn her away easily. Song Wen Cheng admires Chu Jin even more for being feisty instead of lady like. But they are on a break since he decided to go to war.
Chu Yu's maid was so funny when she said something like , " The men failed in their quest for Love, so now they left for the military for a new quest to make up for their failure." Lol
Oh poor Duke of Hu (Mr. Song) is probably so stressed out as a father that all his children are going on their own adventure to dangerous places. Song Shi Lan and Song Wen Cheng going with Wei Yun to Qingzhou for battle. And his lovely daughter going to Fenling (forgot how it is spelled) border city with Chu LinYang, which is also a dangerous place.

I think Kechu was talking about ML being immature and FL the one being level headed. FL already had experienced losing a battle and losing her father, so she is more stoic and serious knowing what to expect. ML being the youngest was protected by his dad and brothers is more impulsive.
People deal with grief and loss differently. Some become withdrawn and depress for a long time. For some, they cling to something or someone that gives them hope or way out from tragedy. ML did mourn for his dad and brothers, he would not eat or leave his room for sometime. FL and his sisters-in law try to distract him from depression because he still has a lot of work/responsibility to deal with and don't really have time mourn. Finding the culprit who was responsible for his dad and brothers death was a great distraction. But since ML is still young, he fell in love easily "puppy love," while investigating, on the other hand FL was holding back because of previous heartbreak.
FL finally gave in to accept ML's love but since she is a sister-in-law, their love it is not accepted by society, they will have to find a way to fight for it and likely the relationship would mature once given time to develop more into real love, I guess they have to wait until everything is resolved first. For the mean time I guess they can just be there for each other while fighting the enemy.

It reminds me of Viscount who Love Me, Lord Bridgerton lost his father at a young age and had no time to be depressed because he has to pull the family back together while his mom was still grieving. The difference is that Lord Bridgerton did have some experience in love, but the ML in this Chinese drama Fight for Love, ML is inexperienced in love, what he was experience was likely first love. That eventually have become more and has to likely fight for it ...
