The edits are weird, there are lots of scene jumps and the story is rushed. All the fun interactions between gu hai and bai luoyin are not there, all the drama and passion are gone. Poppy is soulless, a disrespect to luoyin character, hero is not guhai. The worst and most censored of all adaptations, even the Thai one has failed now. It's sad no one will see what happens after the "accident". Perhaps a tw or vn adaptation can break the curse? let me be delusional. I remember the struggle of Ji Dan while looking for actors for the 2nd adaptation, she is probably crying in a corner after watching this one.
Ep 3 rushed so many of "their" moments without bringing them any justice. Did the serie have more episodes and they had to deduce them? If not I cannot explain the rush and mess of this episode.

wow a man acting with another man on a rape scene ( that in this case will never happen in any adaptation btw) is so despicable, and disgusting, same as the guy acting in the hit and run car accident that kills 2 elderly ppl, same as the guy acting as the serial killer that kills countless ppl, same as the guy acting as the psycho that kidnaps ppl. let's condemn them and cancel them and their works cause they dared to act such despicable roles, o m g .
if u fail to understand what acting is and that u can not make actors accountable for their role, idk what to tell u.
sure u can say u do not like the idea of a 26 yo acting with a 15 yo man and feel uncomfortable, but again it's on u and it's ok, do not watch it and keep going with your life but no one has to think like u. most of us go behind it and realize they are acting, and no real sex scene or SA is happening, even if they kiss and touch, in that context is justified cause they are A C T I N G about 2 ppl of the same age.
