I know exactly which drama you're talking about, but let’s be real you clearly hate both the drama and the fandom.…
A word of advice you might want to take yourself another user praised this drama and got a decent number of likes. Not sure why you're trying to change the subject now.
Someone already brought this up on the drama’s main page and got a lot of support too, so clearly it’s not just one person feeling this way. Your first comment doesn’t seem to connect with what’s being discussed here, and to be honest, it feels like you’re the one struggling to handle a different opinion.
This is a public discussion space everyone is allowed to respond, not just you. If you don’t want replies, maybe don’t post in the first place.
I noticed in a few of your comments you went out of your way to drag another drama just to make this one look better. That kind of comparison feels targeted and unnecessary. You said “that one drama,” which clearly points to a specific show if someone posts this on that page, people will easily figure out you were referring to them. So let’s not act like this place is any more neutral.
SY didn't planned to move in with WYF. Yeah, he wanted to move in the building but not in her apartment. He only…
He didn’t constantly pester her about being taken advantage of out of nowhere he literally saved her from that incident. At the time, he didn’t know the full truth about what she went through. The reason he kept making those remarks was because she kept getting physically close to him, and he was trying to set some boundaries in the only way he knew how through teasing. It wasn’t meant to make light of her trauma, especially since he had no idea how serious it really was yet.

He didn’t force himself into the reunion. They all remembered him especially Yifan’s friend, who’s actually the one who kept talking to him most of the time. He jokes around, but he still thanks them and interacts like that familiar, slightly annoying intern everyone knew back then.
And about the drunk scene come on, they were in high school. He just wanted an excuse to talk to her. It wasn’t anything aggressive or inappropriate. in Hidden Love, the male lead acted the same way toward Sang Zhi’s classmates before they were dating. Feeling a bit jealous when someone else talks to your crush is totally normal, not a red flag.
Yifan pointed out the exact same thing about Sang Yan talking to other women. So if anything, the feeling was mutual. Nothing possessive about that.
I‘m really struggling with this show, even though I really want to like it. I‘m up to episode 14 right now…
It’s a bit of a stretch to compare this directly to Hidden Love. Just because it shares a universe doesn’t mean it’s meant to have the same tone or character dynamics. Sang Yan has always been someone who masks his concern with teasing even in Hidden Love, he had that kind of attitude. In this case, he didn’t fully understand what happened to Yifan. He knew something was wrong, and his way of helping was by staying close to her for protection. The sleepwalking teasing? He wasn’t even aware of what it really was at first.
As for Yifan, calling her apathetic or a doormat overlooks how much she's been through. Her quietness isn’t lack of emotion it’s guardedness. Her reactions are understated, not nonexistent. Not every character processes trauma in loud or expressive ways.
It’s okay if this drama doesn’t work for you, but it’s telling a different kind of story. It’s not trying to be Hidden Love, and that’s the point.
Such a good comment section where we can actually criticize the characters we don’t like without anyone fighting.…
I know exactly which drama you're talking about, but let’s be real you clearly hate both the drama and the fandom. So why not just move on? I’m glad both dramas are loved and respected by people who actually know how to be reasonable.
I doubt you read the comments here. Some users were insulted just for saying they didn’t like the drama. MDL is meant for discussion if you can’t handle someone disagreeing with you, that’s your issue. honestly, there are users who act harshly across multiple drama pages, including this one.
A high quality drama well deserving of its current MDL rating of 9.0. The story had depth and realism, as well…
I don’t think Sang Yan made poor decisions, compared to Wei Yifan, who definitely had some more flawed choices along the way which felt real. I felt the final episodes gave a strong sense of closure rather than just fan service,
I'm rewatching the drama, and the portrayal of Sang Yan and Yi Fan really hits deep. BJT and Ruonan did justice to the drama they're the fictional characters that felt the most real, and they deserve all the love. The Sang siblings truly heal what they didn’t break. Sang Yan was the light in Yi Fan’s darkness, and Yi Fan fought hard to save her image again while loving Sang Yan even more. The Hong Kong arc makes more sense now, what hurts me too is the young girl Yi Fan met who never got her own happy ending. I can't stop thinking about them these days 🥲💝
This is a slow-burn drama, which is why it has 32 episodes it takes its time developing the leads’ relationship…
I just understand the drama beyond the romance. This isn’t a revenge story, and the male lead is well written whether you like him or not.
Wei Yifan thought she saw Sang Yan but never believed he would actually visit her. Why? Because in her mind, he had already moved forward with his life she also carried the weight of her own regrets. This isn’t about taking sides. Both characters suffered in different ways
I hope more people recognize that this drama isn’t just about romance. Sang Yan’s pain was valid, but instead of holding onto resentment, he chose to understand and love Yi Fan. That doesn’t make him a doormat it shows his emotional intelligence and capacity for empathy. The Sang siblings are the best-written characters, and Yi Fan’s journey was portrayed with realism. She endured so much, and the drama never diminished her struggles. She absolutely deserves happiness.
Yi Fan wasn’t happy herself she was dealing with trauma, guilt, and the fear of what could have happened to…
Yi Fan didn’t ghost Sang Yan out of cruelty. It’s easy to say she could have relied on him, but not everyone is capable of asking for help, especially when they’re dealing with something as heavy as what she went through. This type of trauma isn’t something everyone can open up about, and the show portrays that realistically. It’s not as simple as just reaching out she was barely holding herself together and believed she wasn’t worth the support. And no, she wasn’t managing fine. Just because she kept going doesn’t mean she was okay. Survival isn’t the same as healing. She carried guilt, self-doubt, and regret for years. Saying she never once thought of ML ignores that she did regret leaving him, but she convinced herself it was for the best.
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Their reunion wasn’t about magically fixing everything, but about confronting what they’d both been avoiding. The drama never pretends they’ve already moved on before meeting again. Instead, it shows that healing is a process, and sometimes, you need to face the past before you can truly move forward.
This drama rightfully deserves 9/10 , but the reconciliation part was shit , unsatisfactory.I don't think FL loves…
This is a slow-burn drama, which is why it has 32 episodes it takes its time developing the leads’ relationship instead of rushing to a conclusion. Yi Fan showed so many qualities of her love for Sang Yan throughout the series, but her way of expressing it was different from his. She wasn’t indifferent to their separation; she carried deep regret and struggled with self worth, believing he deserved better. That wasn’t hypocrisy it was fear and unresolved trauma.
Sang Yan isn’t some love-struck fool who licks her a*s at a moment’s notice. He’s a character with strong emotional intelligence who understands Yi Fan’s struggles. His love for her isn’t blind infatuation it’s genuine. He knew she regretted what happened, and he chose to love her despite everything. Their relationship wasn’t about an equation where they needed to suffer equally to be “balanced.” It was about healing, growth, and understanding each other’s pain.
Around ep 18 is a perfect time for revenge ML should either ghost her before confession or after f***ing FL with…
Yi Fan wasn’t happy herself she was dealing with trauma, guilt, and the fear of what could have happened to her. She didn’t ghost him out of cruelty but because she was barely holding herself together. This is a slice-of-life healing drama, not some revenge-driven romance where pain must be repaid with equal suffering.
Expecting her to realize how hurtful it must have been for ML through suffering of her own ignores the fact that she already carries that weight. Her story isn’t just about romance it’s about survival, healing, and learning to move forward. Almost being a victim of SA isn’t something to be brushed off for the sake of relationship drama, and this show treats it with the seriousness it deserves.
Story really started from ep 18,sang yang from hidden love seem like a different person.Decent show but not a…
In TFF, Sang Yan is portrayed through the lens of his love for Yi Fan, which Sang Zhang even pointed out at one point in the drama his personality changed when he met her. That’s why his actions come across differently here. In HL , we see Sang Yan through Sang Zhi’s perspective as her older brother. The difference isn’t in his character itself but in how the story chooses to frame him.
The story is very nice. Loved the chemistry between the characters. But are we going to ignore the fact that Sang…
In my opinion, it’s not really stalking but more like longing. Stalkers usually have bad intentions, whether it’s control, obsession, or harm, but that wasn’t the case with Sang Yan. He wanted to talk to her, and he also happened to visit yihe sometimes when Yi Fan had any news achievements. It wasn’t about following her everywhere or violating her privacy his actions came from a place of caring, not something sinister.
Plus, there was a scene where Yi Fan wanted to talk to him too, but he left before she could catch up. A person wouldn’t chase after their stalker unless they were trying to arrest them, right? That moment alone shows that she didn’t see him as someone dangerous or overstepping boundaries.
I am sure this will be an upopular opinion - but it's mine, so no need to get all up-in-arms. But this just did…
I understand that this drama didn’t click with you, but I don’t fully agree with some of your points. The FL’s journey isn’t about her being saved by love. She’s dealing with serious trauma, and while it may not have been framed in the way you'd expect, she does seek help through a doctor for her sleep issues. Her trauma isn’t ignored it’s just shown in a way that doesn’t resolve immediately. Healing can take time, and the drama reflects that. It’s frustrating, sure, but her growth is gradual, which makes sense considering the depth of her experiences.
The ' feeling sorry' for herself part, it can be tough to watch, it’s actually key to understanding her struggle. She’s not stuck in a victim role rather, it’s a matter of her coming to grips with the emotional weight she’s been carrying. It’s a slow process, and while that might feel like it drags, it’s more about the complexity of her healing.
The second couple and the older couple were far from unnecessary they served to enhance the themes of growth and connection, even if they weren’t directly part of the main story. The best friends getting together’ trope might be overdone, but in this context, it underscored the drama’s focus on emotional bonds .
