I feel like this show had more potential than what it ended up being. The chemistry peaked in the first half of the show and then the plot tried to do too much, romance, mystery, fantasy, supernatural, reincarnation, mystery, horror....like every genre thrown in. This is a 7-7.5 at MOST, not 8.3. Lately the ratings at MDL are really puzzling.
I am on episode 3...someone tell me if this drama gets better? I don't know but with an 8.5 I had high expectations but I hope they explain why the ML is falling for her so fast.
it started off boring for me. I forget which episode I stopped watching. I think after they did the interview.…
I think the first few episodes were typical, but what I would expect of a romcom, but then they just did not get better and in fact, got progressively more boring. Anyway, do let us know if it ends up getting better and you end up liking it.
I love ROM Coms but this isn't it. Rom coms need the electric chemistry if there is no plot (which there is none…
Keep at it...I think the chemistry was off the charts once there was time jump. Don't want to give a spoiler but I feel like I can say that bec it's in the tag.
Me too! Gosh I struggle so much especially in the 2nd half it got so boring for me when the main couple got together
hahaha yeah the secretary was a great character. I think part of it was that Yoona's character was so so one dimensional there was nothing going on. And Junho did what he could with his character but there is only so many dates and random stuck together in an inn nights audience can watch before wondering...where is this plot going.

I agree that chemistry is subjective so you may have found it watchable just on that basis. I do watch lakorns but frankly I have different expecations for a lakorn than a kdrama. I already know what I am getting myself into when watching a lakorn and my fav lakorns have been the ones where I found the whole push/pull btw the couple interesting. I did enjoy the chemistry btw Mario and Yaya a lot and also I realized as I watched that it was I suspect strongly based on Paradise by Judith McNaught which I loved.
This being the most popular 2023 kdrama on MDL shows the state of Kdramas and taste of KDRAMA watchers...
I totally agree. The MDL ratings are boggling my mind lately and I strongly suspect that its new kdrama viewers who are not used to the classic kdrama rom coms bec this wasn't it. These ratings are very misleading.
The hate this show gets is so confusing, some people who didn't like this are the same, who liked apb, and now…
I love ROM Coms but this isn't it. Rom coms need the electric chemistry if there is no plot (which there is none here). There is literally no conflict and that push pull of a rom com leads dissipates after they got together. A Drama cannot just be make out sessions. They just decided to cast Yoona and Jun Ho and coast off their looks and chemistry. I think their realy life chemistry is a lot more interesting than what ever they showed in the drama.
I can't be the only one who struggled to finish this. I like Rom Coms and even put up with cliches but I could NOT finish this. I do NOT understand this rating. Its a 6.5-7 for me It started out rom commy enough and the leads had chemistry but I just could not continue. There is NO PLOT. Dropped at ep 9. Make out sessions alone does not a Drama Make. I get the chemistry btw Yoona and JunHo and being their fan but people really need to be a bit objective when giving ratings. .I am beginning to think people who have not watched a lot of classic kdrama romcoms and think this is a good show bec otherwise these ratings are misleading.
Thank you for the recommendations. That happened to me a while ago so I was recommended Turkish Drama and mind was blown. May I recommend a 1) Siyah Beyaz Ask: Forced Marriage plot including a Mafia + Doctor (Black and White Love) 2) Son Yaz: Prosecutor takes in a mafia son to protect him, romance, bromance, family values, angst the whole epicness of it all. I Loved watching the culture, the drama, acting, soundtracks, scenery. It really was good to diversify. It was also good to see remakes of certain popular kdramas into Turkish ones such as Secret, Brilliant Legacy.
I don't get the high ratings. I really tried and can sit through a bad lakorn plot but only if there is chemistry. I didn't feel much chemistry btw the leads and it was on repeat of "you should have told me", "I am with your brother now", "I am going on a date with Marissa"....I just couldn't do it after episode 6. Dropped.
