Did ya read the explanation in discussion section? But that explanation regarding xw nd jxn might spoil you a…
yeah this is the biggest things, despite fearing XW, she reveal herself to him better than the other guy. With ZZ, it's like she likes him because he is a good guy and it's the safe admiration, everyone like the good guy and there is no weird way to justify why she would choose him but she never really look at his personality beyond the public persona.
I rewatch last arc this past weekend and I still couldn't see if Zhang Zhe is the good righteous guy, Yan Lin…
The show like to emphasize that ZZ is the neutral guy in the court but nice? he is impartial , yes I agree but it becomes that way when you compare with other scheming guy. The marquis Yan (old) is much better impartial guy in the overall series.
Also idk if he ever like Jiang Xue Ning or she even likes him. All the reason she is into him is because he helps her in the past and that turn into admiration for everything he did in the present, even when he do it for everyone. I feel like he should do some personalized things rather than the general being nice to feel like real contender. The arc isn't really good overall but ZZ is also stubborn, influence by elder and he doesn't go his way to get what he wanted. That's the biggest things for me, it doesn't feel like he desire something or he desire Xue Ning which is why I couldn't root for him. Bake her favorite sweet or something.
This comes to me because even after rewatch it, my opinion stays the same. Maybe it will change if I rewatch it 1 year from now.
I rewatch last arc this past weekend and I still couldn't see if Zhang Zhe is the good righteous guy, Yan Lin is the best good guy in the show. Strictly the show and not novel.
I am not sure why sad ending is bad, some story does end up heartbreaking but just because it's sad doesn't mean…
I also realized that many drama with sad ending get rated lower while happy but disappointing ending didn't. Now what you said it, it reminds me that I still watch several drama with sad ending because it feels worth it. Yes they passed away, their lover disappear but they earned it, the story is still good. On the other hand, I have some happy ending drama that just not worth remembering cause their happy ending is more of a plot armor.
So there's been lots of negative comments about people posting their thoughts about a sad ending. First of all,…
I am not sure why sad ending is bad, some story does end up heartbreaking but just because it's sad doesn't mean it's bad. There are drama with happy ending but also really bad narratively. I think Kdrama rarely has sad romance ending.
No, the ending is quite bad actually. It's full of plot holes and is insulting to the viewers' intelligence. I'd…
It should be a sad ending, the last minute amnesia is just so overdone like, it kind of stupid because her entire 19th life is fabricated by the previous life. Why don't she just start over in the next life anyway?
It would have been made more sense if Seoha was the real killer and they would have lived separately in the end…
Agree, at the end, it's all unintended tragedy? which doesn't even make for a good emotional background because Jieum was the thief, she started the chain reaction and the plot felt like a cop out.
I heard from other comment that the pool is not in the original. All those pool scenes felt like a filler. The last amnesia plot just ruins a lot of things in this drama, I don't think the first life story even all that makes sense cause Jieum was the thief, I mean, it's not like they did anything to her before that.
I didn't read the webtoon and I ended up feeling disappointed by the drama owns logic. I wonder what could happen if they follow the webtoon. It sounds like a simple story than what the drama offered.
I was pointing last week that this drama has 0.3 % increase from the start to the latest episode (ep 10) and it's still true to this week for See You in my 19th Life, 4.2% to 4.5%.
I wish they do like director cut or some new episode with different cut since I think the drama can be 5-6 episode, remove all the unimportant and weird plot ending, remove the overused flashback and pool scenes, remove the hotel plot line and make the 1st life the main mystery from the beginning.
Like the balance in your review but even in the first half, there is a lot of plot that is left unanswered and mountain of flashback every episode. This drama just doesn't feel congruent and knows what to do. Even in episode 12, you are left with more question but the drama pretend like all of that mystery is unimportant despite having foreshadowing it for 11 episodes.
Not really the best ending. A happy one? For sure. But without all the memories of her past lives Ban Ji Eum is…
I don't think her forgetting her memories is like a good conclusion, I mean, she can just live with that since the biggest drawback seems to be the 1st life and not the stacked up memories she has. It's like a cheap trick to make the ending more meaningful but it just felt unnecessary because it create more question and doesn't make sense. Why not make that this is the last life she would remember? She said she had lover from the previous life so seoha and other isn't important to be in her life anyway. 19th life is structured around her using her "memories" as the advantages in life, it just makes a gaping hole of logic that the drama refuse to answer because they want their happy ending.
I'm being honest when I say this drama is a wasted effort, I FF the 12th episode because I was like WTF am I watching?…
People don't like any slightly negative comment in this drama and accused people who send it as another drama fans. I also feels jarring with this comment section because this drama is the one that sets the expectation with all their mystery and their own worldbuilding but it falls flat and everyone suddenly a hater if you said that the writing is bad? It's not a masterpiece, it's good that it touches people's heart but sometimes I think this drama has stupid narrative and plot.
This drama has xianxia ending when it done by Korean Drama, happy for the sake of being happy. The difference is at least xianxia genre can go hard on the tragedy part that this drama didn't willing to do. The drama forget what had happened because the drama decide their new logic halfway through episode 12. The final episode is very underwhelming and there is no real mechanism about the "remember your part life things", they should just leave it alone and not trying to explain it. I just think it's stupid that she forget everything and everyone did not in this life, like did time reverse? Why is everyone suddenly being nice? Is it because the director suddenly changes the brooding mood or is it because it's ending? Anticlimactic ending for what it sets to be, quite disappointing through and thorough.

he is taller than most actors.
Also is that Duan Jiaxu?
