Please read my comment correctly, it's not about the amount of the number/rating but the trend/trajectory. Drama that stagnant, stay in the same lines most often shows that they don't gain any new viewer means the quality is just so-so, not that good.
Drama that start at 1% and end up at 4% is still perceive as better than drama that start at 4% and end up at 5% because it shows the improvement. It shows that people are tuning in while See You in my 19th life, has less engagement, more or less similar rating with 0.5% difference, not even 1% increase and less buzz which shows that this drama failed to attract new viewer or generating buzz.
My comment is about the trend of rating rather than the number itself because the trend shows how many people are still interested on the drama.
"If you want to enjoy a show, just don't read the comments as they will ruin your watching experience." I completely…
8.7 is an inflated numbers when I seen people gave it 10/10 from ep 2, the show hasn't even finished and it's 10/10. I believe it better if they put 8.5/10. Even now, there is no need to give drama review before the drama ends. This drama don't have real rating right now because it simply hasn't finished. There is a valid review 18 days ago that has completed the watch and 9 people find the review helpful, what was it? the show hasn't even aired. The one who gave it 5/5 and the one who gave it 10/10 is the same, so what should we say about the fake 10/10 reviewer? False review? Fans inflation? Troll?
See how your argument is also break your own premise about this drama?
There are quite a few things that I don't think are done well with this show (though don't let that affect you…
It because they don't think the viewer can have logical thinking to deduce something if it didn't shown in their face. I think this drama take their viewers as fools who can't think because they will give you many clues and mystery but then give the flat answer and still pretending like the story is deep. or maybe they just think it will help better to connect the 1st life and 19th life visually
This isn't just the changes that come from adapting one medium to another. They made very deep, substantial changes…
I get why you are disappointed, I didn't read the webtoon, disappointed by the drama and it makes me don't want to read the original. On the other hand, the comment from the original story saying that they've changes this and that makes me want to read the original because the stuff I feel disappointed about was not in the original. I don't think the original fans of the webtoon have to gatekeep their opinion to protect the "drama fan's feeling"
Is it just me or did this show fall off hard? I’m not talking about ratings etc. just in quality.
The rating is stagnant and also hardly ever break 5% from the start of 4%, it means that they gain hardly any new viewers. Good drama, despite how low the rating has upward trend where the rating is continuously going up but lackluster drama is the opposite, no matter how high the rating, the trend is what really shows how it engage the audience.
I think I finally figured out what I don't like about SHS's acting here. Her character is acting like she's older…
yes, her tone is awkward because she sounds so happy in the present time but like kindergarten teacher tone. It's unpopular to say but I don't like the juwon revelation because the way she speaks to seoha about it. Be a little sad, this guy is tormented because of your passing, don't be too happy about it. Sets some apologetic mood for keeping it secret for too long, this guy saw your body becomes cold on his birthday when he was a child, after his mother passed away. He literally see you passed away, your soul left your body and stuck there to witness it. This is serious stuff, feel bad about him when you revealed that you have been reborn and you know it since you were 9 years old, some 10+ years ago. Also she act all knowing to her niece, to her sister but they actually behave better than her in many situation. She took life too lightly in the way she speaks , like the tone but the dialogue is all about how sad her life is, pick the right mood.
Somehow, I'm not really feeling the characters and relationships. I think, it's because we didn't actually see…
This drama is like a prequel drama where we are supposed to believe that they had been in love but the problem is we never see them actually like each other. The love when they were kids don't count cause you know, if you think they are kids, it's not good enough, if they aren't kids, it's creepy. I don't think the story is dragging, it felt that way because all the revelation is messy and lazy. They do a lot every episode but it doesn't properly set up and everything looks half done and concluded without any stake, there is no actual reason why you have to feel what the characters felt. I don't even feel bad for seoha and the uncle, I can't even feel anything towards the mingi character cause he has been sneaking around with some weird reference for no reason. The characters is all a miss.
This is one lackluster drama, I can't be the only one watching this drama and not understanding anything, nothing…
I like both leads and this is still a lackluster drama. They did not have chemistry and their dialogue is somehow feels shallow. Like a bunch of motivational things out of nowhere.
This might be an unpopular opinion. Shin Hye Sun is a good actress but she is better suited for quirky characters…
I agree with Shin Hye Sun, you can feel how she embodied the past life tragedy better as an actress than her role as Ban Ji Eum. BJE itself as character is a miss for me and idk if it's SHS or the script but they also not working. She is nonchalant in a happy way but the drama mood is not consistent so she stick out like she doesn't belong there in a bad way, like Cho Won actress also has the same happy bright type of attitude but hers matches the drama vibe more. I also think Seoha was not good. Idk if you see my comment but I think BJE character ruins the Juwon revelation for me, she takes it too lightly in the way she speaks. The tone is off. I also have reservation about the children portion of the scenes since it happened ages ago but Juwon/Jieum has never been a child the moment they get the memories, like her mother said, she matured overnight but seoha was always 8 years old , that makes it creepy. Imagine if the gender reverses.
I feel so funny when i see Some people justifying Da Siming wholeheartedly just bcz they hate the FL.okay she…
I think the female leads is understandable in her approach also DSM is so manipulative. He doesn't let SY lives a normal life like his mother wishes, how can you support DSM?
10 EP in, This drama is kinda silly for me. XZ acting don't work. It just the overall story is so good, I get why zhu yan wants to revive shi ying, she saw the ripple effect from one mistake she did. I get her attachment to shi ying. Then all the other character just intertwined together which makes the story itself engaging. I don't vibe with the main lead but the female leads feels endearing despite has annoying character trait.
I dislike the beginning of ep 9, the way she said the revelation nonchalantly is out of the mood like she is taking this too lightly for seoha, she should look more sad and devastated, feeling sad a little bit that she has to bring this news to him. The tone is just so off. I thought this is what I felt last week and I may need to watch this again but then I watch today episode and it still bad taste for me.
Like it's not the right tone and not giving the right mood, like she is patronizing him, like talking to children. I just can't with BJM character, she is too happy yet sounds inconsiderate at the same time. The BGM don't help.
This drama also makes me betray my own logical thinking. As example, I was watching the book revelation and seen the lost of a lover, family and kid yet my mind is also telling me how unremarkable young seoha was. The drama take the viewer as fools that we can't think and has to be told about how the character feels and behave even when it didn't supported by the narrative.
They met in the amusement park and I was enjoying the moment then BJE talk, like don't talk please, do it like seoha, let the moment sink in, your nonchalant tone ruins the atmosphere. Then they had to cut it to the mingi scenes which adds nothing and then back to the amusement park, what is this even supposed to be connected?
Cho Won and Do Yoon has a heartfelt conversation but like isn't that a restaurant? The library and car scene revelation, where was that dialogue comes from? Do they even build it up properly?
I am not even being nitpicky, this is my exact reaction as I watch it. I am dumbfounded by how bad the story and the visual in this drama come together. Also the supposed funny scene with the funny music is not even funny, it looks super silly. I think the imagery of this drama is really good, the camera placement, the past life in the bridge, but the whole things together don't work out, not to mention that the love story felt so forced. Even my affinity for CW and DY has been weirdly turn off by their lack of screen time.
I just started this but I have a bias towards people/character who are good at their job and when the drama shows it. Even if it looks cliche in the drama but they get the job done. I know in the story telling it feels redundant and also the plot is basically about "we save one more lives" but it just feel good to watch it like your faith of for humanity got restored, it also makes you believe the narrative that they are indeed spent years of their life to be in this profession. For the character, I think they are fine. I can see that this couple has some hidden deep backstory but seeing it has 40 episode, I am good with each episode about firefighter and doctor life.
This drama has become quite filler-filled after the initial couple episodes... I'm a bit disappointed, I feel…
This drama feels like it sort of happening, With all the tragedy and kiss, I felt like my heart becomes numb, I can't feel what I supposed to feel with the scene. The drama is disjointed, as other people have mentioned. There is this stuff that just not right in their execution.
Can anyone explain to me the back-story of the 2nd couple - WHY does she like him; WHY does he like her? What…
I think it's love from the first sight for Cho Won, idk about Do Yoon side. On the other hand, I actually believe they like each other when they have scenes together but character and narrative wise, they are underdeveloped. I saw on the webtoon spoiler that their relationship has many scenes than just what shown in the drama
