yes there is no chemistry, I am not saying this for hate, the leads character looks like they are doing different things and the scenes looks so forced. Can't even see any attachment and the younger actor actually has chemistry

I started the manhua but it feels like the drama is better.

The drama explain themselves on the age gap, the characters has dialogue about it and imo that is a good explanation. The point is she likes him and he didn't, this is why this drama is getting a good response.

this drama editing is distracting, take it or leave it, you assume the worst on people and that shows a lot.

It's creepy because she is emotionally mature and thinking the young SH is interesting and using that to get close to SH. Let's say that they are different for the sake of argument, do you think without JW memories, SH will ever like JE?
JE itself keep using JW memories to connected herself to SH and gain some brownies point and her older memories to describe her current action/approach. It's still weird.

I think that come out of nowhere like why don't they give us some scenes when JE is thinking that CW had figure it out before they meet. It's a nice scenes but her logical approach contradicted what she was saying in the previous episode.
We can definitely makes out our reasoning but the drama also need to show it, reason llike more than a sadness cause SH definitely had cried with panic attack because his guilt in front of her more than CW but she didn't do anything. We have SH cried in JW graveyard and she didn't do anything either

isn't the dialogue real bad? like the don't seem to talk to each other, they talk with each other and add some reference of things we don't know. That's why there is something that feels off.

gosh, this drama first half in ep 5 is painfully boring, it's narratively a scene but on execution, I can't stop watching the time. It's pretend to be mysterious while we know all the backstory already, the only important part of this ep is the last 15 minutes.
Also Idk why SH said JE reminds him of JW, he didn't do that before, I get when it's the sister but with SH they don't have similarities with evidence like how the sister figure it out. I mean we as audience know but drama wise, it doesn't makes sense.
The bgm bother me so much, especially on the gang scenes, the bloody and rough tone doesn't match the happy bgm.
When I wrote this drama on paper or comment, I felt like it has something but as I watch it, it just disconnected, character appears on weird places suddenly, like subway and swimming pool and I can't describe it very well, I just know that this is mid and it's not enjoyable.
The drama keeps trying to make mystery, makes something to guess but the execution is just bad with the inconsistency, the new mystery or character pop up without finishing a new one, the scenes that keeps getting cut out without conclusion, it just doesn't work.
The character doesn't really talk to each other, they don't have a conversation, they have a small exchanging lines, they don't really engage mostly (just the last 15 minutes did) so there is no chemistry. Most of the lines spend with one character talking, cut the flashback and inner monologue and then someone reply. I find this drama more like music video where there is this underlying narrative somewhere and the dialogue is a clue to find it, the problem is there is no silver lining in that narrative beside the backstory.
I thought I already rated it low so my expectation is low but it managed to show me something to be disappointed each week. I am staying cause I want to know the mystery but this isn't a good drama.

The whole debate is indeed about how young the other partner but also how the older one acted about it.
For millennia, people marry their neighbor that usually around 3-7 years age gap and grow together, her argument makes no sense are grooming is a big accusation.

I enjoy costume drama and also fan of modern drama.
I feel like this happened because most of the translated or popularised lately is a costume drama and also modern drama was competing with Kdrama instead of costume drama so I hope that HL popularity will bring back the modern drama.

There are a lot of good modern drama too.

I tried Our secret but I keep thinking of Duan Jiaxu rather than his character there

I always have the impression that she is smart in the show and not trying hard enough (except for physics) but the drama didn't emphasize on that

I am here cause I see a lot of criticism about this drama from another "drama discussion", even without watching, I can agree that Ahn Hyeo Seop can't act. I've never seen him act well (maybe in a few episode of Dr. romantic) but seriously, he is not a good actor.

I have not watch this drama, on my watchlist but I keep seeing this drama mentioned in another "drama discussion".
My opinion is that a drama that well connected with their viewer doesn't need the validation of their competing drama.
I've seen a lot of this drama commentary from another discussion and check out the synopsis and it's a fluffy romcom, but almost all the bad criticism from people on this comment section keep bring up another drama recommendation here while trashing this drama and on "that drama", they keep praising "that drama" while trashing this, in my eyes, it's "that drama" problem cause they feel like they can't praise and criticize without comparison.
