Ohh, that's good. I tried to watch it 1, 2 yrs ago but droppped after 10 eps or so when it was barely started. (I think it was when bf started cheating🤔)
I wanted to know the ending. Could you please tell me what happened at the end?
Very well said especially about the difference in NYZ and Ruyi's teaching styles 😅 though I must say even after…
I don't like romance and I was't much of this romance fan tbh, but one thing I liked was the healthy, mature and matually supportive relationship they had. Considering her past, if done badly it could be an awful story of fights and arguements but it wasn't. It's a nice diversion from common popular trope of obssessive, full of misunderstanding toxic relationships in most dramas.
Well said. Imo, LTG's character has a lot of potential for growth and development, but these were not maiximized.…
Exactly. He was such a complex and layered character and had a lot of potential for growth, with an actor who was actually decent but as you said, this overdone obsession subplot ruined him and made him an unhinged, unpredictable and unreliable man.

Yes, if anything for his many rescue scenes I don't remember once she was bitter or angry about it or say "Why did you came?" or something. She was grateful for his help and support. I guess seeing his team work with his brothers and how they helped each other and it didn't make them weak helped her accepting support from someone else.
During the drama we have a LTG who when it comes to scheming and business is all sober , serious and quite manipulative (as long as his shifu isn't around) and he's shown to be a capable commander, he defeated Wu and even if Wu Di was misled and his army didn't have a good formation, that's still a victory. Also Mr. Du told YY part of his glory comes from his victorious battles, considering An Di's war thirsty nature he's probably been in more than a battle.
All these said, his incapabilty during the last episodes is kind of in contrast to what we previously saw of his strategy. Some analysed it as being thought under Ruyi's style he was prone to act alone but to me it still looked weird that he was that reckless and muddle-minded.
Showing him being ashamed because soldiers gossiped about his wife and her masters being saviours and having him doing some impulsive things as atonement more than once that lead to several characters' death seemed more a plot drive to kill off people than anything else.
If you look at it practically, LTG couldn't die, because the point of drama was bringing peace to their states and if he died as the regent of An, An would fall in chaos over the throne and its internal conflicts would travel to other states too. Although it doesn't change the fact that they made him a reckless, thoughless leader to kill off several characters.
I believe he stayed in An to support Princess Yang Ying in An Palace
I think you mean after the war ended, I meant when YY brought 2000 soldiers with supply to He county in ep. 39 he wasn't with her. Given his loyalty and responsibility toward YY and Wu state and that even when he was badly injured he stayed with her, I find it strange he wasn't in the camp helping however he could.
