One of my favourite things about this drama is that she went back in time not an omnipotent. As she says in more than one point, her only concern was being an empress and the only thing she remembered was that. This ignorance about the other people at the court, like XW and his relationship with YL and Xue's family struggles made things a lot more intriguing. I don't think it would be half as interesting if she was a sharper person who knew everything.
Maybe she has altra professional PR managing her fanclubs and sites 🤷🏻♀️ I could never get more than 5 minutes at a time reading these craps. I salute you for keeping up👌🏻🙏🏻

Thanks for summing it. I can understand accepting the roles that are supposed to be the most beautiful can attract critism as in the actor in question is being narcissist and likes to hear praises (many actors do this and don't accept rougher looking roles anyway) but not the ugly part you've mentioned, that's crazy.
