Ok, I guess, after reading all your comments now my firm determination to wait so that I can at least binge watch the first half just flew out the window. Even waiting another 10 hours now (which I have to) is an insufferable drag.
The plot line at times unnecessarily complicates things, just to make FL look uniquely and over the top competent.…
The point is that he could just have given them a hint, instead of letting them deliver the letter without thur crucial info from him. Nobody needed to feel out of the loop, and if FL by chance had broken her neck or whatever, the other servant could still have been able to deliver.
Not indicating the letter content (it’s about smuggling, stupid), and leaving it all up to FL’ ingenuity, which hopefully will strike again, serves no rational purpose but as a plot device.
I enjoy the drama and including how ep 14 turned out, however…
The plot line at times unnecessarily complicates things, just to make FL look uniquely and over the top competent. Instead of just saying to his servant “…and take FL with you when you deliver the letter, cause she’s so quick witted” he could have added “and if you manage to speak to the Marquis and he blows you off, tell him the letter is not about my imprisonment but about a smuggling issue”. But no, FL had to figure it out all by herself and “bluff”. Does ML take this for some kind of EXIT game ?!? 😂
ooohh can't wait! I'm watching against the current as well, September feeding me good!
Same. Started ATC to fill the SotB waiting time, and I like it so far. Also looking forward to Scandal, but they’re all fillers for me, until I can get to watch SotB. (Ideally I should use them to delay SotB so I can binge watch, but probably won’t have that much self discipline.)
I like Yuchan. I am sure she will be a big help for the FL and other maids to get a better life...
Yeah, unless she suspects they overheard something they shouldn’t have. Then she’ll recommend offing them… as evidenced in ep 10. But apart from that small caveat she’ll be a positive influence for sure.
The rules seem to shift constantly. Sharp tongues might conclude that there is some committee that tries to prove its relevance by constantly changing the rules.
The first maid who returned and is actually nice to the girls still cautions ML that FL might have understood what happened (unfaithful wife…), and she might need to get silenced (aka killed)? And luckily ML lets it go against her protestations? Seriously?
This is only possible because ML has some allegiance to her. I thought it was because she was his mistress. But…
Right? Realistically it makes no sense otherwise. But the drama can’t mean that, cause then her speech to the girls about “serving the master well and being competent” to shape their lives for the better becomes super weird!?!
So his OG maid had to leave because of his wife, who married her off to a simpleton? And after the divorce, and…
This is only possible because ML has some allegiance to her. I thought it was because she was his mistress. But apparently not. (maybe in the book but sanitized for the drama?)
Counting down the days! Still undecided whether to wait and binge or watch as it is airing and enjoying the banter…
Same here. I think I’ll binge watch Scandal first and then dive in, so I can at least binge the first third… (well, that’s the plan. I might not manage to stay away, once episodes become available…)
I don't think the wife is necessarily wrong (except for hurting all the maidservants and marrying them off to…
I see her as a grey character. Not everyone reacts to hardships and trauma by becoming a better person like the heroes and heroines in dramas do. She clearly didn’t, she lost her soul. But while deplorable it is conceivable why. (And I commend her for standing up to dad in ep 9).
