I disagree. I don't see emperor as villan but as a bad guy. He is obsessive but with only one person . After Zizan died , emperor did not want to live but FJM took that right to decided death from him as well . It was FJM who decided to when to actually put the bond to use and when to end it . Emperor did not ask for it . As for his behaviour with tilan , yes they paint him as bad guy ...but then he did not force Tilan to act in certain way unlike FJM who expect people act in the way he expect them to .

I love the changes made in the drama , alleast it make the characters less darker and with more humanity . Love the straightforwardness adopted in drama that weed out the possibility of misunderstanding and make it more realistic to life . But as you mentioned here , I feel like the biggest obessor of this drama is FJM who is obsessed with controlling everyone life and want them to act as he want ...which is kinda recipe to perfect Villian . And I find FH pitiful for falling for such an obsessive person

But I am curious about something , If emperor and FJM knows of SU Ming strategy and were carefully laying trap for him , should not they be cautious during the wedding ceremony? It was more than clear that some thing will happen but Emperor still drank the poisonous toast keeping his guard down thus poisoning FJM ..should not be cautious that other than knife and sword , a person can be killed by poison ?

From what I remember , Doc said very clearly that if he keep acting recklessly like he did while rushing to save Haishi ...if he repeats those again (getting seriously injured and not paying attention to them ) then his life will cut short for sure .

I think that is why he got so angry when Miss JU presented dress to her with peony perfume , because it just alerted her and made her guard up...

Baixi is sort of blood ritual that link the two bodies . Hence when ever emperor suffer ..it transfers to FJM . Like all the injuries on emperor are transferred to FJM as soon as emperor get them . Not just injuries, even the slightest un comfort transfer to FJM, Like when emperor fell into water , FJM also got the chills from the drowning that transferred due to baixi bond . And baxi bond is used as invisible protection Armour between the royal family and fang family for generations. That is why no one from fang family got peaceful death (My guess they died before emperor while seriously sustaining the transferred injuries ). And I think its royal family and fang family exclusive bond that can't be forged between any one else who is not fang.
Haishi and Youdu are adorable..No wonder many shipping them..I love how Youdu encouraged HS and asked not to give…
